  1. Estimate and Accounting Software

Personally, I use the Quote column as soon as the job comes in if it's something that requires me to calculate and get back to the customer. It means "Stacey - you need to send the customer this quote". Once I send it I slide it to "Opportunity" because you don't get all the quotes you send. I...
  2. Suggestions Insurance coverage

I use Acuity. I can't find my policy but this is sent to anyone who requests proof of insurance. It's wrapped into my property insurance for the building. My agent is a 65 year old lady. I just had a 65 year old man adjuster here. The only thing he told me to do was make sure my batteries were...
  3. Cost of ink per sqft? HP Latex 800

Some guy who is smarter than I am had a nice spreadsheet where he accounted for ink, electricity, cleaning, etc. Monthly payment not included. Contour Cut ink .29 cents and Full Coverage ink .32 cents. Those are the prices I use. I am just a one person shop so I'm not going through thousands in...
  4. Estimate and Accounting Software

This is just a screen shot from the company website. You can have any columns you want. I usually move them up and down. Once I do an estimate and send it out then I move it to the first column that I have labeled as "opportunity"
  5. Estimate and Accounting Software

I used to do clip boards then a white board...now I use the board in SignTracker and I'll never go back to anything else. I have one large monitor dedicated just to the schedule. I get great satisfaction from dropping and dragging to the "close out" column LOL
  6. Salesperson from large company trying to steal clients?

For the record, I envisioned you to only be 60...
  7. Estimate and Accounting Software

Everyone likes Quickbooks. As for the estimating, I use ShopTracker - I have used Estimate in the past but I LOVE ShopTracker!!! There's a lot of flexibility and there's a great calendar option, task options - much more than just estimating. You can upload a spreadsheet with all your pricing...
  8. HP named America’s Most Responsible Company!

Oatmeal is a better choice for breakfast. We like Cherrios but often eat eggs for breakfast. Sugar accelarates cancer growth.
  9. Question printing gift bags?

    Etsy has what you need!
  10. Is an HP Latex Printer "Safe" in a Small, Unventilated Office Space?

I don't think I would feel comfortable using the printer for periods of time in a small room with no windows or doors to keep open. My space is large and high ceiling so I don't really have any smells unless I'm running it for hours on end.
  11. What's (really) in a name?

First impression is someone doesn't know English - Locally Market? It that grammatically correct? Pop up Food Lab - I'm picturing a bunch of little areas where you can make your own salad, sandwiches, etc. perhaps you pay by weight? Maybe with all different sauces and spices. Or where you make...
  12. When "your" customers get signage elsewhere

I think this happens to everyone. Sometimes it's price, sometimes they "know someone" or they get suckered in by a relative or friend. Maybe they didn't know how good they had it until the next guy is hard to work with etc. I have one customer, they have several employees, continue to add on...
  13. Is an HP Latex Printer "Safe" in a Small, Unventilated Office Space?

I didn't see that anywhere when I bought my HP 115. I was told there was no need for any kind of special ventilation system that's why I bought it. Where are you reading this?
  14. Is an HP Latex Printer "Safe" in a Small, Unventilated Office Space?

They say they don't need to be ventilated, so I'm not sure if it's polluting the air? I don't really care that much to be honest. You won't hear me complain about cows farting or automobiles...and you won't catch me in an electric vehicle either. But, you will find me trying to grow my own...
  15. Is an HP Latex Printer "Safe" in a Small, Unventilated Office Space?

I'm in a room 30x40 and if the printer is running continuously for hours it starts to smell. I open the window and its fine.
  16. Salesperson from large company trying to steal clients?

I think you are right - she's trying to act like a big shot. I found out they or the husband own a bunch of apartment buildings and VBRO's in the area also. I'm wondering if they recently moved here. She only has one mutual friend on FB which I find very odd so she must not know anyone in town...
  17. Speaking of permits…

Good thing I don't make signs...I don't even know how to spell morse code! :roflmao:
  18. Speaking of permits…

Does anyone know morris code? Apparently the flashing X was morris code. I find it hilarious, I love Elon Musk, he's a funny guy...one of my favorite clips...
  19. Salesperson from large company trying to steal clients?

I think she is the new owner. It looks like her dad owned the company and her husband and her took it over recently. So, I imagine she wants to drum up business in the town where she lives. She should really work on her sales skills because they are not very good. I will not be using them nor...
  20. Salesperson from large company trying to steal clients?

I did get her business card and I tried stalking her on FB but she's not on there or she blocked me. I think I'm mostly mad becuase I work with a lot of small businesses that do the same thing I do and we don't go after each others clients. If it naturally happens - then so be it. But if I...
