Curious... anybody ever hear of a Gerber Odyssey 48" friction plotter (with auto load) having an internal plastic sprocket go bad.... to a repair tune of $3k?
My buddy had this happen.... but I googled for the problem and see no results come back for this issue.
Anyone here have this machine...
Yo Curtis - do you see Apple moving towards a subscription based software? Or is this just a Microsoft thing?
The guy makes good points regarding the economy and upgrading. People WILL be VERY hesitant to upgrade if they think it will cost them $$ in otherwise uneccessary software and...
John - consider a Mac....
I have BOTH windows XP and Mac OS Leopard running on it....very easy to do, and then you have the best of both worlds.
Reviews I've read say that Windows actually runs FASTER on a Mac.
Stevo Design with skull - very nicely done dude!!
I like the tapering [randomly broken] lines on the inset of the letters - nice effect done in a nice font choice. Always enjoy viewing your work.

Excellent illustration on the "leafs"..... don't know if you remember the Saratoga sign I showed in the portfolio section of L'Ville.... but I had some maple leafs in it....mine were kind of clunky looking...wish I'd have designed a little more character into them as you've done. Nice job.
Well as someone who has used Illustrator every day for the past 9 years and Corel draw for several years before that....
I can say I like both for different reasons.... but in general ... as a vector drawing program and considering functions as common sense, user friendly, ease of getting from...
That's thinking inside the box -
The computer is very much about being an entertainment center, and will become even more so before you know it.
What.... you don't consider the internet and this site entertainment? And it was accessed by your computer.
Well John, not sure if I understand the "email" question you present. If you mean, why did I email him directly to sort out my problems....it is because they don't post any other means of contacting them. I spoke with Chuck before about this.....when he actually had a phone contact number...
Well today came and went and no response to my email from Chuck at Letterhead fonts...I guess he must not want to exchange my money for his fonts....so I bought 5 really nice fonts from Steven at http://www.artandsignstudio.com/fonts.html. Great guy to talk to and deal with....I highly...
thanks Flame...for the link to the font site.
I've ordered a few from there before, and you're reminding me prompted me to order another 5 fonts just now. Great guy to deal with too....
Let me know if you have a phone number, will ya? I think it's crap that they try and insulate themselves from their customers.
I talked to them once about this after bitchin about no phone number, they showed me where it was buried in sub/sub areas of their website...but now I can't find it...
Huh? What is the purpose of that??
I thought they were Open Type fonts? Aren't those just regular fonts? I have them in my Font Management software....
Maybe I should convert them all to curves and burn them to a disk in case I have some issue with my pc down the line.
Anyone else having trouble placing an order on the Letterhead Fonts site?
Tried ordering some fonts a few weeks ago....I get this error, "access denied because of too many attempts."
What the heck????
So, I read up on the support section and it says my credit card info might need updating...
Your section looked immediately like a puffy quilt my grandma might have made...I saw no paint peeling whatsoever.
Then, I looked at Doug's Filter Forge sample where the entire lifesaver was shown...and it looked immediately like peeled paint and then just as quickly switched back to puffy...
Bob of earth - if you would reread my post - it was in reference to the quoted statement from Pro Graphics....who ended a line with "Forgiveness is soley at God's discretion."
This would intimate that he had some belief in God and that his understanding was that only God can forgive. I...
I've read these posts with some interest...as well as with an unbiased opinion as an outsider to this scandel.
Seems to me Robert has done an extraordinary thing in working out this financial albatross with his employee and his customers in a way that protects his customers and forgives the...
