Been a mac user since I won a performa a long time ago. It only took a day to see why mac users were such "fanboys". I'd never consider switching back to a PC.
All they got was a picture of the lettering you used .... not the whole typeable font.

I just got a Graphtec CE5000-60 a couple of months ago. I use Illustrator to layout all my vector work and use either SignCut X3 or FlexiStarter to cut with. I'm on a mac also. I much prefer SignCut as the cutting program. It's faster, easy to use and has some great weedline features that...
Actually it's not that close ... Lucida Calligraphic .... but I was thinking to tweak it to work where it's going to go ... on a small web page ad. Le Griffe is it though - or very close .... I think I'll buy it if I can't find a free version.

Most plotters are quite capable of cutting very fine detail but tiny details can be very hard to weed (removing the parts you don't want). You might want to consider this product and process.
