Going to be making a set of letters out of alupanel that will be two layers thick with the bottom layer larger all around (and a different color) to make a setback outline. I'm thinking silicone would be fine to glue the layers together but would like to hear about any other material/methods...
I saw that item also and looked into the cost difference of the blades .... hardly any difference really. Considering how long a blade usually lasts I concluded it wasn't worth the cost of buying the adaptor. If you need a blade holder though I think that item is a bit cheaper than a graphtec...
The Cutting Master plugin that works from within Illustrator or CorelDraw on a mac or a PC is only one way to drive the plotter.

Instead of adding a thicker stroke to the letters convert the letters to curves then offset the paths by the desired amount then delete the original paths.
Had one ask for some lettering on something clear in some kind of frame to hang in a glass door. I said why not just put the lettering on the door glass. "How would you do that?? he asks. "UM .... same way I'd put them on something clear in a frame ... like your door glass"
A while back a high school theater teacher friend asked me to reproduce a 4 foot diameter Coca-Cola logo for a part of a set background. I contacted the local Coke company about this and was told "No problem - Thanks for asking". I collect some Coke stuff so I donated it to the school for the...
