  1. How to host a forum?

UPDATE Well since the time I posted this and now, I have successfully created a user forum on my site using Snitz Forums 2000 (as previously referenced). Of course, it is still totally brand new and not ready for public consumption, but it is working and online. So far, pretty darn easy...
  2. Think about getting into the full color sign business

Notice that this dope has only posted ONCE...I think it's someone jerking "US" around.
  3. How to host a forum?

I also wanted to point out that my current site is an ASP site due to requirements of the security feature of the software. I have found a forum software called Snitz Forums that may work, I don't know yet.
  4. How to host a forum?

I already have my site hosted, I just don't know how to go about adding a forum...if it is even possible with my plan. I've contacted my provider (1and1.com) to see what they say. Maybe I can already with what I have, just never have looked into it. I want something simple and easy to use. I...
  5. How to host a forum?

NO, I have no plans to create Signs099 or anything of that nature, but I am considering creating a forum for my pricing software. I have absolutely no idea how to go about it. Do you pay for a server service, buy one and stick at in your shop, what? What about the forum software? Any pointers?

Fred and Gino...:U Rock: :thankyou: :clapping: :goodpost:
  7. Think about getting into the full color sign business

Sure, but there's a LOT more money to be made with Amway and a whole lot less work :-)
  8. Think about getting into the full color sign business

Good GAWD...how can there be so much of this lately?
  9. Roland Versa art 64" & royal soverign 64" laminator

Well at least you have some related experience. That is a great printer from the specs, but you will also be wanting a large plotter for contour-cutting some images, unless you can on your existing plotter (does it have an optical eye sensor)? If you want a 2/1 machine, look at the VP-540.
  10. Roland Versa art 64" & royal soverign 64" laminator

What is your experience with sign-making...any? If none, why the hell not...everyone else seems to think it's a cake-walk. After you've figured out it ISN"T that easy, I'll come buy your equipment for $.50 on the dollar. Oh, and welcome :thumb:
  11. Letterhead Fonts!

    Wow, very nice indeed.
  12. anybody know why I am getting this error message?

More than likely your web/email hosting company's server is termporarily down.
  13. can't get pdf to cut

Kinda short on words, dontcha think? Might help if you offered a bit more for us to go on. Sounds like you need to know how to use Illustrator better. I don't know as I don't use it enough to help with it...Corel is what I use, along with Wasatch. Still, basic premise is same for all of them.
  14. can't get pdf to cut

    I'll assume you're using VersaWorks. http://support.rolanddga.com/Docs/Documents/Departments/Technical%20Services/Technical%20Manual%20or%20Guide/AI_CS_-_How_To_Contour_Cut_(03.08.2005).pdf
  15. can't get pdf to cut

HUH? We do this everyday. PDFs work just fine. The beauty of a PDF is it can contain both raster & vector images, as well as CMYK & RGB images.
  16. Hello

Charles, I knew of you for a while, but didn't know that you were in Arlington until I saw your article in SignCraft...I live in Arlington as well. Our shop is in Marysville. Glad to see you found this site, it's a great place.
  17. I got hit with a trojan horse...naaaaaaaa

I got a Trojan a while back and I'm here to tell you that Malwarebytes is very likely to fix it. It absolutely 100% worked for me and I continue to use it. After seeing how great it worked, I immediately bought it and enabled the real-time protection. Have you tried it yet, sounds like NO...
  18. Font to be designed

I only know about Skyline chili via Ron White...Can't ride home on a bowl of goat, I've always said that.
  19. Font to be designed

I didn't know it until I read one of the last SignCrafts....Chuck lives in the same town as I do.
  20. Sewing banners

I personally don't sew our banners, but have looked into it some. For one I think you need a machine that does what is called a "lockstich" and has a "walking foot". Harbor Freight has one for about $600 that looks pretty decent for a low-end machine.
