Service Manual. Do a search for one. I had to hunt for mine, you can too.
  2. Roland SP300V not printing all the colors

Hard to believe, but okay. I manually clean 2X per week whether it "needs" it or not. Here is a link to what "cap tops" are: http://www.cmykparts.com/10002794.html
  3. Roland SP300V not printing all the colors

How long has it been since the cap tops were replaced? I change mine out every 6 mos. This may not be the issue, but it could contribute to it. So you are saying that where Yellow should be printing it is printing Magenta. FYI, Cyan & Black share a head and Magenta & Yellow share a head...
  4. For 1 Day Only $9.95 Juice Drops (TODAY 1/29/09)

Did you also see that they have some Juice Drop Fonts almost ready for release? They've been working on these for a while now, not sure what all they have, but looks like they would be good for certain 'themed' applications.
  5. how tdo I remove gradient from diamond plate clipart

In Corel you can perform a Step & Repeat to accomplish what you are asking...I'd think that Illy would do the same, not sure about Pshop.
  6. Banners printing S•L•O•W

YIKES! That is excrutiating! On 95% of what we print I yield 64 SFPH, which is at 720x720x8-pass mode. I don't use VW, but Wasatch SoftRip and create my own profiles. I have made a 4-pass banner profile that yields approx. 165 SFPH, but it doesn't produce a deeply saturated print, but can be...

  12. Nozzle dropout all of a sudden?!?!?!

Great....welll that helps...sorta. Going by what the service manual says, that is the series of keys, so I'm at a loss then. So if you know that is NOT the code, are you willing to tell me what it is?
  13. Nozzle dropout all of a sudden?!?!?!

So now I cannot get into Service Mode for some reason. Are there different codes based on the firmware? We are using firmware 6.3 and the service code we are trying to use is: left arrow, down arrow, right arrow, power on...which isn't working for some reason. Any help on this?
  14. xc-540 Roland or Mutoh Blizzard

I've NEVER printed at anything above 720x720, so the add'l resolution seems wasted. Maybe nice to have, but having never needed it, who cares? Do you use that high of resolution on stuff? Just asking because I think it is way overkill unless for giclee, which this printer is not made for.
  15. Looking for suggestions on a clip art / media browser

www.irfanview.com is one poplular free one. Won't view all vector files, but many.
  16. Corel 11 to a SP-540

I guess that you probably CAN, but you really should use a RIP...why aren't you just using Versaworks if you have the 540? These type of printers are not meant to be used like a desktop printer.
  17. Nozzle dropout all of a sudden?!?!?!

I never put tape on the sensors...never had the need to, so that's out. I got a copy of the Service Manual and hope that something in there sheds some light on the issue.
  18. Roland SP540 Bi/Uni directional

Environmental match? Not likely to make much difference, but some.
  19. Roland SP540 Bi/Uni directional

Adjust the BI-DIRECTIONAL calibration...found on the main panel menu...it is probably all out of whack.
