  1. Next time we charge double!

Good practice though! These one off customs are the way of the future. I thinks its worth every penny to be good in a niche market! Once the word gets out...you'll be charging more because its so custom. I'm sure we'll read about you in a magazine some day.
  2. Keep the Digs Coming

Bummer man...get help, go with 3M (beginners best friend) and never, ever do anything worth keeping without overlam! I've done over 1000 wraps and only had someone think of doing one without overlam once. Crazy If you don't get help. I suggest takin' up a religion and begin to pray :)
  3. "Oh Buddy, you are WAAAY off!"

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Every once and a while I get to tell someone to take a flyin' leap! Do it! it really feels good! And a sick little laugh as they walk away is an especially effective way to insure that this cheap piece of crap tells everyone he knows that you must be crazy....surely all of his...

I for one am not surprised! I can see it now..Chris runnin' around, slappin' on the vinyl. Wooooo Hoooin' it thru the whole process! Don't cha just love these kind of jobs?? I do! Congrats on an excellent and courageous execution! Hats off

:frustrated:Peel & Cleans, oh the days I want to forget. :bushmill:Alcohol therapy. In this case, make sure the customer has good insurance....:birthday: Never mind that last advice (sort of a relapse) Heat gun, torch, torpedo, sun, infared, long fingernails, patience and lastly...
  6. 10 Tundras ...2 days...1 guy!

Thanks GP...Talk to you then! MichaelAlmand....My shop, Oh I WISH!!!! The install had to be performed at the Toyota distribution center in Jaxsonville Florida. MASSIVE to say the least. They say they move over 250,000 vehicles thru the facility each year! Talk about clean! Hey Bluefish, It...
  7. Did this BUG seamless (No overlaps)

I started doin' wraps back when we used regular cast vinyl. Couldn't put anything on without a panel overlap. Then came 3M with the air-egress. Still had to tile them because the stuff was way too aggressive and needed to be in smaller panels. Now almost every wrap product is easier to apply...
  8. Did this BUG seamless (No overlaps)

Concerning the Perf lifting issue...Use a strip of the overlam that you used on the perf. Cut 1/4" strips and adhere them starting 1/8" on the perf and then roll the clear material onto the glass edge. This works very well (especially when the client takes the car thru a car wash and peals the...
  9. Did this BUG seamless (No overlaps)

Rambo, The only waste was on the sides. I had to throw away the area from the curve of the fenders at the rocker (Bottom) to the end of the side body panels near the hood and the tailgate. (About 8 sq ft of material) The big loss is "time" ...It takes longer to wrap this thing up this way.
  10. 10 Tundras ...2 days...1 guy!

As to the single-sided prints, I print all of mine that way (Except Box trucks & 53' trailers) I definetly recommend doing your next sprinter lengthwise and split it at the deep groove in the middle of the sides as well as from the drip rail up over the roof! This way you'll only have 1 seam to...
  11. 10 Tundras ...2 days...1 guy!

The campaign is a Toyota Tundra GIVE-A-WAY sponsored by the Toyota dealers of Alabama. The vehicles were designed by an agency for Toyota in Atlanta, Printed by a company in Tampa and installed by yours truely in Jaxsonville FL. I'm sure someone along the way got a release in the logo!
  12. Did this BUG seamless (No overlaps)

It's hard to post something exciting these days. Nothing but run-of-the-mill wraps. Lots of vans, box trucks and trailers. So, I thought I'd wrap a bug with no overlaps. Individual panels for nearly every body part. More work, but looks better. At least this one is BRIGHT!
  13. 10 Tundras ...2 days...1 guy!

A suprise deadline caused this. I had planned more time, however the client had different plans. Completed all 10 tundras on-time! This, by the way was the smoothest install I've ever done. The process was, align & attach the sides on all of the trucks first.(see photo of complete panel for the...
  14. Large banner help 4 ft x 20 ft

I have reduced 48' x 240" files to 8.8mb in Photoshop that print clear and vibrant. Blazing speeds on the rip at this size. Saves time on rasterization. How about a 9' x 24' box truck side that's 20.2mb? It can be done! See the pic

Do I have to pay taxes on my stickers if I make them myself? Do I get a Trade discount? My race car is a Yugo...that's foreign. It's not registered, so do I have to send it back? Well it is a race car...I don't drive it on the streets. Please don't make me take it back!!!! Daytona wants me...
