HP Planet Partners Programme
A quick Google will take you to the above programme - best to get a big box and just fill it up with your maintenance kits, cartridges and print heads then give them a call when its full...
ONYX Thrive
You should also take a look at ONYX Thrive - One key broadcasts the key permissions across your network.
Then you can load as many copies of Onyx on as many PCs as you need until you run out of permissions - or purchase some more.
For example buy a key that allows, say, 8 rip...
Papers with HP360
The lack of a print zone heater means some papers are more challenging on a 360 Vs previous latex printers although coated solvent papers should be fine.
There are some tips to get most papers working:
1. reduce print zone vacuum (counter-intuitive I know but it's the...
Fb550 & fb750
I think you need to re-read the original post - how can the printers involved be outdated when they are so new they haven't been released yet!
Seriously though in essence the FB range to date is a reliable cost-efficient UV printer for the Signage market - it has a very small...
I don't think this is how it works. On my 370 they have a (removable) metal folded strip sitting over the blue plastic handles on the ink cart trays that stops you from removing the 775ml carts.
These carts are not standard either as they have a sticker on them saying they should not be removed...
Hi
I have both Caldera and Onyx and there is no difference between the two or known accuracy issues in the current version although v10 had some issues a while ago - they both drive the cutter in the same way so any differences are usually down to your settings.
Accuracy with Latex is...
So it looks like a poor profile or incompatible media.
A good approach on SAV is to select 10pass 100'c and then run the test file - check the ink levels looking carefully at the edges of the bleed patches and see which ink level seems best.
If the best one isn't the max ink - then increase...
It doesn't hit the top - before the bar gets there it triggers the take up to turn to give it some slack.
Assuming you have it turned on and have set it up correctly then you should never be able to make the bar raise high enough to hit the top.
Either one of the ends of one of the bars has...
The reason the driver doesn't allow it is because the printer doesn't allow it - there are special areas of the bed designed to soak up overspray but these are in certain places only - thus it is available for some paper widths and not for others.
This is the same with Epsons too - it isn't a...
Not So...
Onyx can do exactly this - all selectable paper widths have an "NM" version so you can choose "No Margins" and print a few mms over each edge for every paper size - you can even decide your own NM widths.
This is one of the applications missing in Production Manager - you need better...
Can you explain the following a little more clearly?
"RIP wise with the L360 I would stay away from Onyx because it seemed to want to have the printing on and not sleeping what setting up jobs in the RIP. And, when trying to set up jobs on different medias then what was loaded in the printer...
Nope Caldera is slower in like for like comparisons.
Jaws outstrips Ghostscript when processing options set the same.
Onyx Adobe rip (Thrive) massively outstrips Caldera Adobe rip - you can get 8 Onyx adobe rips using each processor individually yet simultaneously on a dual quad core system...
A quick look at Gamut Report in your Onyx Media Manager will tell you the stock profiles swing from a Delta E of 9.2 (poor) to 0.4 (as good as perfect) for Red 187C so the printer is certainly capable of hitting that color.
If you want to run a test use CMYKW - Clear Film - Max DPI Saturated...
Well you've paid extra for a 360 over a 330 so that it can build it's own custom profiles...so build one!
Takes 40 mins and then you know it is curing properly and not trying to cure too much ink.
Some substrates are simply incompatible - it may be that this is one. Can you try a different...
Look in your input folder - if there are any files in there you recognize, delete them - there should never be image files in your input folder.
Don't expect them to have correct file extensions - its usually .RQX or similar.
Just delete them (don't delete the "info" folders though!)
Also...
Your sales guy is wrong I'm afraid.
Hi
The 360 is faster and not just in the fastest print mode.
For example at 8 pass the 360 runs at 17sqm/h and the 330 at 13sqm/h. i.e every 3 rolls the 330 prints, the 360 will print 4 - I guess only you can decide how important this is.
The reason for...
The way this is done is to have (or create!) a good profile for each printer for the same media.
Then compare the icc gamuts for each profile to find the printer with the lowest gamut (you can do this in Onyx media Manager - Tools)
Then copy out the icc profile from the media profile of the...
All 3xx profiles are now 600dpi by default at usual pass rates
I am pretty sure with Onyx Thrive all profiles downloaded from the printer will be set at 300dpi.
This used to be true but with the latest FW all profiles at typical pass rates that are synced from the Latex arrive at the rip with...
