Don't waste your time. Replace the head
  2. Thoughts on Hp latex 570?

How was it used? What are the percentages of SMK1 and SMK3. When SMK1 is close to 100%, don't buy it.
  3. Calibration - Linearize - HP L315 Latex

A L315 does the CLC with the line sensor. This is not very accurate. ICC creation isn't possible at all. 36X or 5X0 have a more precise spectrometer for CLC and ICC creation. CLC is the HP term for density linearisation and density clipping. The bubble jet printheads are known for changing the...
  4. versaworks and roland bn-20 ink problem

BN-20 sounds strange, compared to "real" printers. I hate it, since it came to market...(stupid design) But it shouln'd really screech loudly.
  5. Bn 20 white ink hardware issue?

How old is the printer? Could be something with the circulation pump.
  6. HP 365 & Duratex Mesh Banner - Pulling my Hair out!

Ever tried a different brand of media? Cleaning the rubbers of the feed roller might help as well.
  7. Pinch Roller Not Found Error, Turn Power Off message on HP 54 Cutter

was the cutter in heavy use? Then it could be the flat cable going to the toolhead.
  8. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

Wow, I think I saw a dot on some of the bigger screws. (M3, M4) I have a bag of the small screws in my car. Have to check with a magnifier...

  11. versaworks and roland bn-20 ink problem

The rail in a BN-20 runs dry. It has a self lubricating bushing.(could be graphite in the plastic) I have never had problems with big rail. Only once a clicking sound with the front rail.
  12. Summa F serie

Summa F cutters should have maintenance every 1000 working hours or every 12 months. Whatever comes first. One important thing is to check and adjust the tension of the 3 timing belts.
  13. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

According to Roland, it's a Phillips screw. They sell a long Phillips bit to go with their torque driver. Since the carriage base is made of aluminum, it's also possible to strip the thread. II had to drill out such a screw once on a FJ-540. It was tightened by someone else before... While I...
  14. Need Help VersaWorks shifting die lines?

The preview in Versaworks isn't that precise, when you zoom in very close. Calibrate print-cut at the machine. Print some black hairline squares with cutcontour exactly over it. Check if there is a consistent offset over a whole sheet. If needed, you can finetune the values in the calibration...
  15. Threaded a VERY small screwhead

Pozidriv isn't the same as torx. It's a enhanced Philipps. I only use drivers from reputable companies like Swiss PB, or German Wiha or Wera. Life is too short to use mediocre tools. Their cost may seem a bit high, but it pays off over time. Some of them even give a liftime warranty.
  16. XC-540 in storage for 4 years just brought it back out

Your chances aren't good for bringing the heads back to life. A head wash with cleaning solution isn't for long time storage. There is no official procedure from Roland for this scenario. Printheads have some sort of storage fluid in them when new. I never succeeded to fully revive a head after...
  17. Advice Please ! - HP315 - Consistency Across 5 machines - Same Media - Same images

Hi While the way you describe the CLC workflow is correct, I think we need to be aware, that the 315 doesn't have a spectro and uses the line sensor as measuring device. This isn't a very precise way to measure densities. At least I would do a line sensor cleaning first and then a line sensor...
  18. versaworks and roland bn-20 ink problem

I think both magenta channels are used for printing.
  19. In need of the Roland Versaworks spot color folder for VW6

Or you just create a spot color with the (exact) name CutColor in your design program.
