  1. Pinch Rollers not detected on cutter

There just was a message from Summa about a new firmware addressing an issue like this. You need to wait for the HP to release this update...
  2. Summa D140R did Firmware update M9985-rev. 040 now opos don’t read at all need help please

Looks like your parameters got lost. You can get the factory backup from summa.com and restore them on your unit.
  3. Bleed printing on HP Latex

If you print on the belt all the time, it can clog the vacuum holes on the table in the long run. In this case, the belt needs to be removed to clean the vacuum table and holes.
  4. Roland TrueVIS2 Printing Red issues

I just got the answer from Roland... This function is only supported on print-only devices in Versaworks...(they do it, because print-cut jobs would be off otherwise...) So you need to design your prints longer by a correction factor.
  5. Pinch Rollers not detected on cutter

To upgrade the FW, you need HP CutterControl and HP firmware. Your problem sounds like dirt on the sensor, or a broken sensor.
  6. Roland TrueVIS2 Printing Red issues

This is also normal behaviour. The printheads have a fixed dot distance like 180 DPI. The media is heated in the print zone and expands. After it's printed it shrinks back a little, when it cools down to room temp. There should be a size correction setting and calculator in the printer settings...
  7. Roland Soljet Pro II V SJ-1045EX

The heads are touching the media. Use the media guides or set the heads higher.
  8. Roland TrueVIS2 Printing Red issues

You didn't shake the cartridges... Activate the shake alert in the machines submenu for the future. For the moment, got to media explorer in Versaworks and tick the 7c media settings to be visible. Then it will print without orange. (Only if you select the 7c mode later...) Depending on how long...
  9. Roland Versaworks 5.5.1 (not 6)

There is no driver. Versaworks (and other Rips) print directly to the network address on port 9100.
  10. Roland VS-540i... to trash or not to trash

The VSi are nice printers. I'd replace the captop first.
  11. Versaworks Issues

This is normal. Reinstallatin won't change a thing. Tick use primary colors.
  12. Printer printing off

The paper sensor or the reflective strip on the print platen might be dirty.
  13. Roland xr-640 Carriage 10 and 40 errors

If the printer has lots of if prints on it, look at the belt pulleys, as their theeth can get filled up with ink spray and dust, causing the belt to jump teeth. The other place, a knocking sound can come from is the plasic gear on the right side pulley. (It's a inexpensive part, while pulleys or...
  14. VP-540 no power

As I already wrote: leave it to the pros, if you don't undersand it... The worst places I have been, are the ones where the customers tried to fix it themselves. (Ink all over the heads, flat cables ruined...) then they wonder why I need to replace head/mainboards for some serious money. Best of...
  15. Need Help VG3-54 - Starvation issue?

When the heads were replaced, did the tech also replace the dampers of the latest generation? Try a damper fill.(pause enter during startup) What temperature do you have around the printer? I would also replace the filler sensor on a affected channel.(just to test, it's no big deal) I once had...
  16. What is the value of a Roland SP300v

For a SP-300i, you should be able to get all the parts for another while (as long, as they last), as it is 10-15 years newer than a SP-300(V), where not all parts are available anymore.(available new from Roland, not some obscure refurbishers from China)
  17. What is the value of a Roland SP300v

For a SP300, I would not give more than 1000. I wouldn't like to sell it, because if certain parts fail, it will be impossible to fix.(with new parts)
  18. VersaWorks unselectable option

Different modes are only selectable, when they have been created and linearized/profiled.
  19. VP-540 no power

You have to measure the base-emitter voltage of every driver transistor to find out the defective one/s. If you don't know, what this means, ask someone to fix it for you.(otherwise you will kill the board beyond repair...)
