There is only one primer available for printing. If it doesn't work for your application, you need to manually apply it to your medium before printing.

The pinch force isn't adjustable, except you are able to replace the springs in the pinch roller holders with weaker ones.

If you insert non-gold heads, you need to change the way the cleaning is done. This is done by changing a "system switch".

The XR is a "pro" model and has two heads with 8 channels each. The VG is a "versa" and has 4 heads with 2 channels each. This gives the difference in printing speed.
