  1. SP-540V Failed to print rear 2 crop marks

You'd be able to see that in versaworks... check the print size and make sure it corresponds with how big the graphic should be. Also, check page spacing. Maybe you accidentally set that to a high number?
  2. Vertical Bands SP-540V

No, it does that on my machines too, and I do not install tapered rollers. I only use inner ones, and my wrinkles also go away when you feed back and forth.
  3. Vertical Bands SP-540V

I knew this, but to this day I can't understand how that functions. How does a tapered roller accomplish outward pull?
  4. Vertical Bands SP-540V

I can turn my vacuum right off on any one of my Rolands, and it doesn't cause wrinkles. Where did you get your pinch rollers from? It is possible for new ones to fail. They have bearings that can become dislodged. I'd be taking those off and looking at them.
  5. Soljet XF

What does the "Sol" in Soljet mean? Doesn't it stand for solvent? And there's no door on the front of the machine? Maybe there's no print carriage. What if it's a horizontal head? Like a memjet?
  6. Vertical Bands SP-540V

Okay, so it should not do that with NO heat... my original thought was correct. There is something mechanically wrong. Either pinch rollers, grit rollers or possibly clogged vacuum holes of fan.
  7. Soljet XF

Wow... that sure is... very red.
  8. Versacamm sp540v - pinchroll errors/changing the data cable?! PLEASE HELP!

One time, I needed my printer *immediately* and it did this exact thing to me. I didn't have time to wait, so I figured out where the problem was, and located the precise breaking point inside one of the tiny strands in the data cable (by testing each strand for continuity and then inspecting...
  9. Fuses on SC500

    Yep.
  10. Roland ColorCAMM Trade-In Promo Announced

<sigh>... Okay, search these forums for the word "shrinkage". You'll find hundreds of posts about it. Yes, there are work-arounds, like printing on specific materials, letting it sit for a day, and printing less ink (lower quality colors). But come on, let's not pretend the problem doesn't...
  11. Fuses on SC500

I... do not see fuses :( Although, a likely thing to cause your problems is transistors. Those are the black things along the right side. They're attached to the big heat sinks and the have three prongs each. Make sure you read the type printed on each one. Any that have the same type...
  12. Fuses on SC500

I say go for it... take a pic :)
  13. Roland ColorCAMM Trade-In Promo Announced

    Seriously?
  14. Fuses on SC500

Yeah, Kent fixed my head board on my LEC-300. I'm about to send him my SP-300i main board too. He knows what he's doing. Send him the board and he and Tom will fix it up for you.
  15. Vertical Bands SP-540V

I agree it could also be a vacuum issue. I forgot this has happened to me as well. All I did was unclog several of the tiny vacuum holes on the platen and it fixed the problem. Can't comment on heating issues... never had a problem like that.
  16. UltraSonic Cleaning Problem

No, no... it's not the fuse. He's pulling from the capping side and getting nothing. A fuse doesn't stop ink from filling a syringe. I've had this happen to me several times. Every one of those heads is now in the trash. There is something physical that can go wrong when you clean too...
  17. Anyone here with R-Net access??

    Got my service manual. Thanks!
  18. Vertical Bands SP-540V

Ah, okay. Happens to me all the time. It's a mechanical issue, though. Either you need to replace your pinch rollers, or you need to clean your grit rollers. Firstly, stop printing. You can diagnose this by simply using your arrow keys to feed the media back and forth. You should see...
  19. Vertical Bands SP-540V

Isn't it safe to say the vertical pattern is being caused by printing on those wrinkles? Just want to clarify... you're just trying to solve the issue of the wrinkles forming, yes? Or am I missing something?
  20. Vertical Bands SP-540V

Let's rule out heating issues. Turn your heater and dryer heat down to zero and try some test prints. I'd want to know if that pattern completely goes away.
