Exactly. Vinyl is cheap compared to time. So is material if you have to trim it down, work the edges, etc.

When I first started in signs ~10 years ago, we had a sheet of 1/4" material that was a rigid PVC. I.E. it didn't bend, and would snap if you tried. It is harder than PVC, and has a very flat surface I haven't seen any since. Now, have a customer with that same material and needs it...

Forgot one. Was one-legging a ladder with the other wrapped around a lightpole (for leverage), installing a banner holder. Long and short is the 3/16" cobalt bit slipped at full RPMs and went into my thigh about 2" deep. That one bled a little.

Anyone know which PVC is the most rigid? I remember years ago at my first shop - we had a 1/4" PVC board that instead of bending, was rigid, and would "break" if bent. In the 10 years since, I haven't seen another of those boards until last week. Whats the brand name?

3rd design. 2nd is squished and doesn't make use of the space. 1st is boring, IMO. Maybe add some detail to the inset columns instead of a solid fill.

It's not Helvetica. Hook on the 1, length of the cross on the "G", horizontal terminations on the 3, lowercase "r", lowercase "s" is where I was looking for reference points. This is a carved sign we are recreating, and I get the feeling that the router who did it previously may have taken...

If they top coated latex you might have some issues with that peeling off. May want to paper pounce and pray.

Possible to assign a gradient from color --> transparency? Option is there in advanced but defaults back to white when transparency is clicked on.

Say you got a sample of the material, and that it will not work for the specs that they need. Make a counter recommendation, and say this is the best product. Better to lose out on the job than lose money on a project. If it's a good customer, they will understand that you are trying to help...
