So ... he had to get daddy to defend him on some bad designs? Sorry, but clip art flames and skulls do not make for good logo design from for a DESIGNER. ... let alone it's for his LOGO ... he should be going for a "WOW" since it should showcase 100% of his design skills. From what I have...
I find it hard to believe that there isn't a screen printing company local to you that won't do small orders. That to me screams shenanigans. Any place doing a small order will still have the same screen set up fee especially for full color. Just suck it up and get it done or look for a place...
I just don't get it ... are you going to wrap his vehicle? if so, why not just go with more subtle overtones than to make it look like a hispanic death metal band's banner. I get that he liked it ... but it's your job as the designer to impress him with your design skills and prove to him you...

If you use and arrow, make sure that you design it with the capabilities to flip or ensure it's encorporated into the design and not a loose element. Nothing more irksome to me than to see drop shadows and/or arrows pointing in opposite directions from side to side ... right now it looks like...

not everything NEEDS to be...
The one I attached to this post looks the best for all purpose use. Sadly the legibility of the script is too slanted to be readable from a distance and the "DESIGNS" typeface is bad. ... well ... really just the "E" and "G" in designs are bugging me.
