I LOVE THE STUFF but had to repaint some of my house because of fabritac. got excited and did a big ol mural on a room that apparently was not primed before previous owners painted. ripped off paint, and top layer of drywall in the first 2 feet. SUCKEDDDD.
you certainly can, you just need to know exact thickness to tell the printer to avoid head strikes. I'm not the most familiar with EFI printers, but at least with my hp hybrid, we've done quite a bit with jigs. it just gets dicey. it can be a tremendous pita, and if you are not careful you could...
yeah all the uv's i have worked on that are not built from solvent based machines or manufacturers have had no capping. actually both hp's fb700 and 750 models are just floating heads with a auto purge function that will do automated cleanings when in sleep mode to keep the heads fresh at pretty...
make your employees feel needed and valued within the company! always made me a better employee. pizza and fun times help along with that. also what vander j said...not to piggy back. but he said it best.
first off congrats! they're a workhorse if they're maintained really well. have you had any flatbed printer experience before?? and what type of stuff do you guys predominantly run?
i would check the nozzle check, head lifespan, and have them print your files to get an idea of how it'll...
yeah 702, there is a lot of threads here regarding new fb purchasing within your price range. def suggest checking em out and asking questions as much as possible to your sales rep! see it in person, run it, and figure out if it speaks to you and your business! also i believe you guys have a...
another thing you have to remember that most speeds they give you for boards per hour are on the production modes most of the time. if you wanted really hi quality, as in same quality you get from vinyl on 10 pass and above, your looking at more like 4 to 5 boards per hour, depending on the...
+1for an overlaminate or vinyl or outsource. you're gonna have a hard time with sustained abuse on phototex. highly suggest using a floor overlam, i actually did this on a table for a buddy with the floor laminate and it took abuse of 3 kids over 2 years. pretty solid.
and depending on your sheet size and whatnot for these boxes you may be able to get away with a fb550, the little brother to the 750. may save a few grand, especially if this is just for prototyping. i believe you only have a 64" with or so, but you can run them long ways and still be able to...
the prints looking not great was the biggest reason we stopped. we did them on our 700 and the color just never looks as good as it does with vinyl mounted.
