  1. mustang bumper inserts, Any template?

Are you talking about a lemans stripe you are trying to match to? or a pin stripe? or a side racing stripe? etc If the stripe is 9 years old and the stock silver ... all metallic vinyls will darken and change color with age ... making matching the vinyl next to impossible, even if you do ...
  2. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Alrighty, I'm going to be a little bit of a :thread ... cause I'm not seeing what I'm looking for in latex printers being asked about. I've read by others that there is less wasted ink compared to solvent, but how often do you guys have to clean the heads and how long can the printer sit...
  3. CLIENT REFUNDED! How would you have handled this?

I wouldn't have given a refund, most I would have given her was a reduced rate on her NEXT job as a "sorry about the confusion." As the sales person it's a little hard to hold the hand of every customer and coddle them into understanding everything ... some just don't want to do it.
  4. I have to redo 15 signs...

Isn't "printed patch work" another term for Divorce papers?
  5. Fireman's Cross

Or you can get them from Fred, who has some quality stuff if your vectoring skills are a little rough.
  6. Fireman's Cross

Man, this is an easy graphic to do, just make a 90 degree triangle (easy enough to do, make a square, turn it 45 degrees, remove one corner so it's only 3 points), pair off , dupe and spin, convert outside length on one to a curve, add back a 4th point, nudge outwards, bring in outside curve...
  7. What are your Labor Day plans?

    This monday, sept 5th.
  8. What clear bra material do you recommend?

Clear bras are sort of pointless, pasties are classier. Saw one once that had pasties that were gas masks, matched really well while dancing to "hurt" by NIN.
  9. what chemical removes adhesive from lexan?

I use wd-40 on back sprayed acrylic panels to clean up paint overspray on the front (not sure if it will work on lexan) and the rest of my cleaners are kroil, rapid remover and if I am worried about chemicals affecting a substrate I will use Goo Gone (not goof off ... that stuff sucks) Kroil may...
  10. Remove eco-solvent ink from banner

I've never been able to remove any solvent ink that is cured with anything less than sanding/scraping. Even the data sheets list proper cleanup but not removal since it bonds and becomes part of the material (even if it does sit on top) ... but I'm pretty sure if you're willing to experiment...
  11. MASTER Vinyl Cutter Plotter (Desay Canada)

I love how this thread has a 6 year shelf life. That is better than a box of twinkies. Little hard to understand this one, but lets see if I got it right ... your graphtec doesn't cut, just plots the points (so the knife doesn't come down correct?) and it makes a clunk noise while doing it...
  12. What are your Labor Day plans?

I had to re-read that one a couple times. :omg: Ahh the ren faire. Wenches, weapons and turkey drumsticks. If I were close to one I would steal that idea. :Big Laugh
  13. What are your Labor Day plans?

Have to ask because I'm going to relish my second day off in a row (third 2 day weekend this year). I've already got my flank steak, charcoal and brew dogs for this weekend. Fajitas! When it hits, I'm going to fulfill the most true part of labor day ... no labor on that day. Ohhh yeah! So...
  14. Jerk!

I charge a file fee of $100 any time anyone wants to take any sort of file out of my possession. With logo's that is written up and charged into the logo fee, but if they need copies or what not ... $100 each time. Only time I break that rule is for things like business cards where they only...
  15. Custom Easel made by former Nazi

Good lord that is awesome. Tops the best one I ever had the opportunity to use which was made out of an old 8' extruded photo developer and a lot of ingenuity. Kudos to an awesome story and an awesome piece of equipment ... I'm officially jealous.
  16. Offered partnership, need advice.

I actually had a pretty decent partnership when I did art installations in my early college years. (you know ... corporate art, massive silk screened canvases, murals, etc) Starting it up was complicated though. I had 2 friends hounding me to start a company with them because "we would make so...
  17. good chrome vinyl for vehicles

People want, what the want. Anytime I'm asked what I think would be a decent color, I tell them "Not chrome" and list the longevity issues. Though, I did have a truck come in with 4 year old chrome that was only slightly getting milky spots on the vinyl ... but it was also a show truck which...
  18. working with matte vinyl

Those two are the same thing, you'll need to clarify there a bit. Also, are you talking about digitally printing the black comparing that to standard matt vinyl which doesn't need a laminate and thinking of laminating it (which is a bit redundant)? and you do know that unless it is a wrapping...
  19. Wacom's Inkling

You actually have me considering buying this thing. :noway:
  20. fluorescent

Only offset printing spot colors are able to get flourescent as far as I know. Might as well bite the bullet and just overlay the bad boys, just don't design for complex curves.
