Flexi is good, but if you want to "work" a file/picture, do in PS, save it, then open/import in flexi to rip/cut.

  3. Computer Maintenance

Back up on DVD is a great idea, but running RAID 0/1 could be a real life saver! Your hard drive could fry itself, and all you have to do is remove it, set your bios to boot without the raid controller and you back up and running will ALL your files in 5 min.

GraphiXtreme, Your 684Mb SDRAM would make nice key chains. Just drill a 1/8 hole in one corner. Or find an "old box" to donate it to. Upgrade your chip and motherbaord, you'll need DDR ram. Buy "matched" sticks, and stick to name brand ram. (Crucial, Corsair, Kingston Hyper) :unclesam:

  9. Cutting and printing on the same graphic

You have to look at both time and materials. Saving .60 per sign is not off set if it takes you 6 long hours to cut, weed, tape, registrar, aply, and peel. Use the strength of the Versacamm, it prints and cuts while you pick you nose and watch TV. Im just kidding,,, Im sure you dont watch...
  10. Cutting and printing on the same graphic

I dont get it. Print the things on 3 mil, contour cut a 17.5X23.5 box, and aply. If you have a laminator, just cut the prints apart, center on the coroplast, put masking tape on one end, put the blank on the laminator, flip the print over the top, pull the liner back and shoot it though. You...

  15. Colorspan 98SX or Mimaki 250-SP

Any body have input on these two printers. Im going solvent in a big kinda way. The Mimaki is cheaper (get what you payfor), but the Colorsoan has faster print speed, and an onboard camera for making ICC profiles on the fly. The 98sx was 700 feet/hr at 600X600, but the new one is going to...
