Hah, our supplier did that as well... promptly called them up and told them to cancel it. It's been 2.5 years and still no issues with the machine.
But now that I've written this, I expect a full meltdown tomorrow when I walk into the workshop :p
I'm not sure how hard it is to keep the white channel clean on an FB550. It's not too bad on an Arizona. Just needs a good purge every few days if not in use.
There are others on here with the FB, so hopefully one of them can offer some advice.
Ask away... we've had ours for 2.5 years now. Still loving the thing.
Yes, we made our own dryer unit from six 120mm fans as the Epson one was ridiculously overpriced (we built ours for less than 10% of the genuine product). We only need to run it when printing faster than 8 pass so the inks...
Our UV printer has white, so we just back it up with 2 layers of that for an excellent result.
I'm assuming yours doesn't have a white channel, hence your post.
I would mount a roll of white on your laminator and run it through that then trim off the edges carefully.
Provided you have good ink...
Maybe reset/initialize Versaworks and see if that helps:

Just added an ASUS VG27AQ to my collection. For the price it's a very good monitor. Extremely colour accurate, excellent resolution, uses hardly any power and great for gaming if you're so inclined.
Looks like the front of the holder on the 8600 (so it sits over the perf cutting channel) according to this video:
Not sure why it's hitting the metal of the channel though. We don't have a pounce tool to test with here either.

The SP540V can be up to 16 years old and $8k sounds too much to me for a machine of that age.
Even if this owner has had it for 2 years, it's not been in production for a long time and has reached End of Life according to Roland...
We make our own profiles, so I just kept going through all of the settings until I found some that had the 3L option.
Unfortunately our machine doesn't have W or M, so I don't have a working profile I can share with you.
