I have been asked to quote a job to provide graphics for 12 police cars. Installation is NOT included. There is a stripe that runs the length of the car on both sides and some other lettering. I can get all of the graphics for one car out of 30 sq. ft of reflective material (Oracal 5600). I need...
I'll check with the first printer/installer but I think it was install fairly recently. They are changing the location of the wording in the print because it is too low to be read easily the material is 3M 180-10, I'm pretty sure it is lanimated. I'm not sure of the material underneath but I...
I have more info about the location, it is actually along the front of the press tables on the basketball floor and is only 30'w but I have to remove that section and apply the new print in its place. Can I apply a little heat and peel of the old fairly easliy, clean of the adhesive residue and...
I have been asked by an out of town sign shop to quote an install of some printed 3M 180-10 at a location nearby. The print is 4' x 70' and going on a slightly curved wall. I have not done anything this size before. Any suggestions for how to go about it and what to charge?
I asked my customer for Pantone colors for his print job and this is what he sent me.
Blue. 00437a
Gray. Bbaf97
I don't have a printer and job these print jobs out to a wholesale printer. Do these sound like standard color numbers to anyone?
It has been 2 years and they knew going it was not going to last 5-6 years and having a slab of ice slide down the side of the truck is not covered under any warranty but I'll take luck anytime I can get it, which is not very often.
Thanks for all the feedback ! Seems like budget is always a factor and I try to explain to them what they can expect. After seeing what price get them, they have decided to pay for cast this time. Cast, no clear coat. Thanks again
I lettered this truck about two years ago. Some of the lettering was damaged in an ice storm so they want to have everything that is not in great shape replaced. All of the original lettering is Avery intermediate opaque vinyl and all of the Black has shrunk, leaving adhesive residue around the...
Your right on all counts, peeling paint, trying fix something that should be replaced, etc. Thanks for the advice on the power washer. It needs to be cleaned before it could be painted but I'm not sure it could witnstand the cleaning.
I'm looking for a good Bright Chrome metallic vinyl. Long lasting, scratch resistant, etc. Any suggestions? What about vinyl vs metallized polyester?
Thanks
I have a customer looking for a sign that will spin in the wind. They saw one at a gas station and would like the same type. It has at least 3 sides. I have done an internet search but have not found any like it. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures. Any Ideas?
I posted this the other day (and thanks for all the info) but I have one more question. What are recommended products for removing the adhesive and cleaning this awning material?
Thanks,
George
