What I usually do here is black out the cut area in Photoshop, place the black blob aligned with the sticker graphics in Illustrator, Object - Image Trace (options: Black and White and check the Ignore White checkbox), Object - Image Trace - Expand, then then use the Smooth tool on the resultant...
Those stair-climbing handtrucks look fancy, especially the motorized ones. But in a way, moving a latex printer would be the least of OP's problems because you only really have to move the thing twice (once up, then again back down). You'd still have to deal with:
- cornering (it's lengthy)

When you changed the head, did you change the ribbon cables? I had a head go crazy on me after I replaced it - it was firing all over the place. After I replaced the flat flexible cable to the printhead, then the problem stopped.
I bought a DX4 from sign-in-china.com earlier this year for my SP-300V and i was very well satisfied with it. It took a long time to get here but it was cheaper than anywhere else.

That's weird that it's ignoring PerfCutContour but respecting CutContour. If you want to upload your AI file I'll see if I can get it to work in 5.5.1. What are your PDF export settings?
One thing about PerfCutContour (once you get it working): you want to try to use rounded edges and not sharp...
