  1. SP540V Roland Carriages Are Disconnect

Here you go... If the caps are lined up in Step 4, you can skip steps 5-11 and go to Step 12. Be sure to move the cut carriage all the way to the left before hitting Enter in Step 14, or you will get an error.
  2. Need Help VP 540i Distortion, Double Printing, Wavy Edge?

You are on the right track, but using the wrong liquid. This is the best way to do this. You will need gloves, a clean microfiber cloth and acetone. Yes, acetone... It will not damage the encoder strip in any way. 91% alcohol is ok, but doesn't get all the ink off, while acetone will. NEVER use...
  3. Help

Check the ribbons going from the carriage board to the printheads. You did not mention them as a part you replaced.
  4. Problems with sheet

Based on one of your pics on your double photo thread, your pinch rollers are in serious need of cleaning. Use a foam swab and alcohol. And clean all the debris from around the roller shaft. As everything moves faster when cutting and the back and forth movement of the media, dirty pinch rollers...
  5. Roland VP 540 AND VERSAWORKS loosing IP connection and stop printing not connected

Before you put the new mainboard in, go into Service Mode and get the head rank for all 4 heads to enter into the new mainboard. Also go into the head adjust section and write down the horizontal and bi-direction settings. In addition, go into the crop-cut and print-cut alignment sections and...

  7. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

If there is no change in the number of missing nozzles after doing 2-3 head soaks, then I'm sorry to say, I believe the black channel is permanently clogged.
  8. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

Please post your latest nozzle check.
  9. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

You're making progress! Suggest posting a nozzle test at this time to see what you have. It looks like it's starving out as it prints. Try doing overnight head soaks and see if it brings it back. When you do nozzle test prints, mark them and keep them. After each cleaning cycle and nozzle test...
  10. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

Pull ink through the damper with a syringe. If you can't pull ink or get a lot of resistance, then remove the cartridge and try to pull again. If you are still getting resistance, remove the damper and connect the syringe to the ink line directly and see what happens. This is just in case the...
  11. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

As damonCA21 suggested, now swap the black and cyan dampers on the print head, do a normal clean and run the fill test again. The normal color laydown for this test is "KCMY". If the problem is a supply issue, meaning a bad/clogged damper, which I understand is new, then your printed pattern...
  12. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

Go into service mode. In the service menu, go to Test Pattern, then to Fill Test. This prints each color channel independently at 720 - 8 pass - bidirectional - std speed. This completely eliminates the computer and software. Quickest and most reliable way to check the condition of each color...
  13. Need Help old ROLAND SP-300V problem

What damonCA21 said... Also, as your black cartridge is going on 6 years old, you may want to verify it has ink in it. Pull it out of the printer with the printer turned off so you don't reset the ink counter display. What can happen is the physical tab on the cartridge can occasionally get...
  14. Need Help My printer keeps stopping in the middle of printing

Pretty much any hardware or auto parts store. Get the grease, not the spray.
  15. Need Help My printer keeps stopping in the middle of printing

No on the video, but it's straight forward - clean the 4 chrome strips with swabs and alcohol until clean. See pic. Move the head carriage back and forth the width of the machine, it should move freely. If so, as mentioned above, very lightly grease the chrome strips with white lithium grease...
  16. Need Help My printer keeps stopping in the middle of printing

There are 4 head carriage bearing guides - shiny chrome strips. You can see 2 of them from the front on the Y guide rail. The other 2 are directly behind them on the Y guide rail. Clean these with a swab and alcohol until totally clean. Excessive resistance from ink and dust buildup on these...
  17. Advice about perforation force (SG2/SG3-300)

It would be easier for most of us to be able to help if you could post the screen shots of your settings with the system in English.
  18. Roland VS540 - banding/ color drop out

You should run a nozzle test print and the fill test, both in service mode and post the results.
  19. Need Help Roland SP540v printing diagonally

You are very welcome. And you made the right choice on which chemical to use on which part. Just insure when you re-installed the encoder sensor, the encoder strip is centered in the slot and not touching either side of the opening of the sensor.
