My only advice is bigger is better. You will find that a 24" cutter is very limited very quick. I would try to find one that is over 50". Also try and get one that has a servo motor. Even If you find one that is 10 years old, you'll like it better than a brand new one with a stepper motor.

They get a new tenant once a month? I would offer to replace it for free if they can bring you out for another job. Maybe they have something in mind they want.

It seems too small of a job to offer a very big discount. How much more work cold you get from them? If they have another job for you you could save them the travel expense.

I know someone who had one. He loved it! Said it made the best doorstop he ever owned. If it were me I'd call up sign warehouse and see if they have any old q series cutters. You'll be happier with the Lxi software too.

If your Roland has a heater than give it 24 hours if you can but your probably be OK if just a couple hours of dry time. If it doesn't have a heater than make sure to give it at least 24 hours.

I don't let anyone supply their own material. Its too much of a risk chancing their cheep material won't damage my machine. So it's a normal shop rate with a volume discount.
