When printing CWC Sandwich mode, the white ink is a diffuser sandwiched in between two color layers.
I am guessing that you used the 160-percent white ink density CWC Sandwich mode. Many CWC jobs can be printed very acceptably using the 60-percent white ink density rather than the 160-percent...
The 700 printer will alert you with a front panel icon when to lube the carriage rods. It is not a time-based maintenance item, it is based on usage - kind of like changing the oil in your car is based on the miles you have driven. not the date.
I would recommend one of the Durable Textile cotton/ linen blends listed on the media locator site, such as a Premex Duravibe, as they tend to offer better ink adhesion. As mentioned, make sure that the media is water-fast on the 315.
Agree with Boudica, almost all frosted vinyl-based films can be successfully direct printed with eco-solvent. These same films are also printable with UV inks and HP Latex; the latter two can also print to many non-vinyl films such as polypropylene and PET translucent and transparent window films.
I believe that Roland offers a traffic signage system with their eco-solvent TrueVis printer:

You don't market white ink. Customers don't know or care about white ink.- nor should they. What they should care about are the new applications that are enabled through the use of white ink. These include a wide range of applications that are not using opaque white medias. This might include...
Yes, the following white print modes are available:
1-layer Spot White
2-layer Underflood White
2-layer Overflood White
3-layer Color White Color Sandwich
Make sure that you are running the PH Alignment on glossy self-adhesive vinyl for best results.
You can also run a plot to adjust PHs manually in the event that the sensor is dirty or has an issue.
Eco-Solvent ink should print well onto PVC-faced wallpapers and solvent-coated non-woven wallpaper medias, but will produce de-saturated and washed out color on non solvent-coated non-PVC wallpapers.
Printhead alignments are not tied to the media category or the print mode being used. Printhead alignments should be run on glossy self-adhesive vinyl for best results.
While it is true that both technologies (solvent and HP Latex) make similar claims (as do their respective channels) re longevity, it is both interesting and enlightening to see what 3rd-party entities like media manufacturers have to say on the topic...
My first thought is an issue with the Optimizer. There is a test plot for Optimizer in the front panel: Image Quality tile, under the 3-dot icon in the upper right.
Update the Onyx printer driver using the Onyx Printer and Profile Download Manager app.
there is no OS driver for any Latex printer, only RIP-based drivers.
Eco-solvent inks print are able to print to vinyl (self-adhesive or banner) without the need for solvent-coatings. All other medias classes (papers, non-PVC plastics and films, fabrics, etc) require solvent-compatible coatings to print with solvent ink.
Is the issue only occurring on the window perf media, or with all medias?
Are the blurry edges visible on both axis (scan + media feed), or on one axis (which one)?
Appears to be ink smears originating in the cure unit.
Attach to the Take-Up Reel (if present) or increase the front tension at the media's lead edge to keep the media flat in the cure unit.
