  1. Printer not printing red

This is true, it is certainly possible to shake the cartridges. Just be aware that there is about 30+ ml of ink in the ink delivery system, plus about 10ml more in the printhead reservoir, and these are already pigment depleted. It will take a lot of printing (or a pull from a syringe) to get...
  2. Printer not printing red

Inks need to have the solids/ pigments in suspension. Eventually, pigments fall out of solution and then the fluid being jetted will contain less pigment and more carrier. This causes optical density to decrease in the affected ink(s). If any of the inks expired in 2020 (over 3 years ago), this...
  3. Printer not printing red

Are any of your inks significantly expired? You can check expiration date in the ink menu on the front panel. You should be able to see a obvious difference between the light magenta ink and the magenta ink in the color calibration, with the non-light inks having more optical density than the...
  4. Printing with 50% Opacity

With solvent and Latex inksets, the CMY inks are naturally very translucent, so they tend to respect the media surface. Black ink and some white inks (latex) are more opaque and tend to block reflective media surfaces. UV inks (all colors) are much thicker physically, and tend to sacrifice the...
  5. Is my 560 just getting old?

There is an upper rail - it is smaller diameter than the lower rail, and is located above the backplane.
  6. Flexi cuts jibberish

Graphtec cutting plotters can utilize two languages: GPGL (Graphtec plotter graphics language) and HPGL (Hewlett Packard graphics language). Cutting Master software normally uses GPGL. The cutter's language can be set to either one, or 'Auto' on the cutter's front panel, so that it...
  7. Nix Color Spectrometer

Perhaps I am missing something? Spot color measurements can be performed with several highly portable instruments that generally cost less than $300 (some even less than $100) - Color Muse, Nix Sensor, Color Cube are three examples. Without an SDK or API, no 3rd-party RIP manufacturers can...
  8. Mimic Frosted Glass With Only Clear Vinyl

White ink can offer amazing utility for window films, including for privacy applications, among other use cases. Attached pic shows two graduations of white ink: the top is 5-percent steps from 100-0 white, and the bottom is a smooth graduation of white ink 0-100 percent.
  9. Cardstock type material for Solvent Roll to Roll printer

Neenah Blox-Lite is a blockout paper that can be printed on each side, but it is only digital printable with UV and Latex/ Resin, as it is not solvent-coated. https://www.neenahpaper.com/brands/blox-lite-uc-wide-format
  10. concerned about solid black banners needing to gas out before mounting in banner stand Epson s80600L

I am considering buying the Epson S80600L. I can't get my HP latex to stop making wrinkles in double sided banner from the heat. I have had two people mention to me the solid black / navy would need to gas out before we mount into retractable banner stands. Do you think that is really true...

What is the print speed of the Specialty Mode?
  13. HP315

What is the media class you are using (SAV/ paper/ other film)? You can edit the cure temperature in the media/ print mode being used. This is accessed from the printer front panel under the Media Library icon.
  14. Flexi 22 and missing HP Latex 335 Driver

Some security software applications can interfere with connectivity between the printer and RIP, specifically with things like media synchronizations between the RIP and printer. In my experience for example, Zscaler software needs to be disabled with Gen3 Latex printers and SAI Production Manager.
  15. Advice? Perf keeps eating my printheads

Make sure that the media is attached to the take-up reel with the TUR dancer bar engaged to provide forward tension on the media. Use the 365 edge guards as window perf always has rough edges.
  16. HP Latex 800W

Not sure what you mean by 'skipping'. I have found that some metallic films can transport more reliably in both directions when attached to the Take-Up Reel. For example, Substance X1 Chrome film has a slippery backing liner and runs more reliably on the TUR.
