Oh that's a non-issue. That's something HP builds in to ALL their printers, an added bonus feature, shall we say, to their current line of Latex printers. I deal with this on our little old 560.
Do you mean Latex 360? Only 3600 I see is a desktop Laser printer.
EDIT: Sorry, I now see there is a 3600 Latex....that's the big boy printer. Can't help ya there! If you've had it only a month I would assume your dealer rep would provide help or service info.
IMO overlaps look bad. I butt the prints up, and try to make the seam along some kind of line or border in the art so it's not noticeable if the vinyl happens to shrink any over time. I purposely add something for that purpose to the design and work with the eventual seam.
Need more info....how high up? Attached to the posts how? If this is permanent, I would make it out of .080" or even 1/8" aluminum faces attached to 1/2" aluminum square tube, creating a box, then secured to 4" posts. Basically a really long post and panel sign.
