  1. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

It needs to be connected to the heater control board, they you read the output where the fans connect to it
  2. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

OK have you tested the heater power board as I posted above?
  3. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

Ah ok the other thing it could be is the relay has failed on the heater power board. You need to test CN101 and CN106 on it ( these are the ones that lead from the board to the fans ) . Set the meter to DC volts and put one probe on each of the pins on those connectors and see if you get a...
  4. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

OK it is possible he sold you a bad board then and that is why he was breaking it :(
  5. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

If you go on the connectors to the fan junction board from the control board and check you are getting a voltage there
  6. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

The heater control board. It could be the servo board is still bad as well though
  7. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

OK, test the voltage output from the board to make sure it is outputting to the fans. If it isn't then you know the problem is with the board
  8. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

Was that board fully tested before selling it to you? Also, was it the correct one as a lot of sellers sell the SP300V one thinking it also fits the SP540V and it isn't the same. You can also test the heater control board to see if it is putting out any voltage to the fans. If it isnt then the...
  9. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

A lot of sellers sadly don't seem to bother testing them. Whenever I get a printer in for parts I always test everything on it to make sure they work before I dismantle them!
  10. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

It can also effect the heater, but it depends exactly what it blows on the board. Sometimes a short can just damage part of a chip or other parts which can make finding faults harder! The fans themselves would be ok as there is nothing really to blow on them. I will send you a message on here...
  11. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

I see you are in SA, I send parts over there all the time so no problem if you want to order them
  12. Need Help Roland Sp540v Servo board replace

It is most likely that when the old servo board shorted it has also blown your heater control board ( this controls the heater functions and also the fan ) and also possibly the heater junction board. Both of these are connected from the servo board, so a serious short could have damaged those...
  13. Issue with Roland SP540v

Unplug the printer from the wall and leave 15 minutes. Start it up again and select the ink configuration in the menu. This should cancel the headwash
  14. The Flex cable on the Roland Versacamm SP 540v

Get OEM parts. I imagine Germany is from Digiprint? That and Indonesia are going to be cheap chinese copy parts and not the same quality as the originals.
  15. Best Vendor for Roland Consumables?

It's a personal choice. Nothing wrong with using OE ink, but for people who want to use something else then Jetbest is the best option. I have been using it for years and never had a problem.
  16. Help

You can solder it onto the old fuse but it is a bit of a bodge. It is also quite hard to do this as the area you are soldering onto is very small and quite hard to access with the old fuse sill in place. It is possible though if you have an iron with a very small tip and are very careful You...
  17. Help

True, but then if it blows again then you have to solder another one on top. I prefer using the glass fuse holders as changing a fuse in the future takes 30 seconds and the fuses are 1/20th of the price :)
  18. Help

No problem. If you arent confident replacing the fuse for an inline one I do this as a service for customers ( replace all of them with inline glass ones in holders ). If you are doing it yourself you need to be very careful removing the old one as it is easy to burn the pads off or cause other...
  19. Need Help ROLAND VG640 NOT PRINT CYAN ON HEAD A

It is unlikely to be the captop and only effect the cyan. If it was it would most likely also effect the magenta next to it. There is a reason the cyan ink wasn't filling the tube and you need to find out why that was. If the tube is now full, don't do a head soak as that wont achieve anything...
  20. Need Help ROLAND VG640 NOT PRINT CYAN ON HEAD A

OK you are getting air into the line somewhere which is stopping the damper and head filling. The tube should be full of ink like the other ones. First check the ink hasn't actually run out, if not, you need to inspect the line and all connections from the cartridge dock to the damper to find...
