I have fitted DX4 heads plenty of times without updating the head rank and have never had a problem or seen a difference in colours or print quality. I really think any difference it makes ( if any! ) is so tiny nobody would notice

I wouldn't worry too much about there not be a heading rank number. The head will still work fine without updating it, but it should have one if it came from them. They seem to be getting second quality heads from somewhere and selling them as perfect.

OK Digiprint have a track record of selling bad heads, and they refuse to accept them back for returns. What you can do is swap the new head with the yellow/magenta one. If it then prints you know the head is ok, if it doesn't then the it could be a bad head.

Did you check the correct fuse? It is the small one mounted on the mainboard, not the ones to the main power supply. If this is ok, also test the transistors. It could also be a bad head carriage board. When you do a head cleaning are you getting black ink coming out into the waste bottle?

I would try and salvage the other one first before you fit the new one. You don't want to be running multiple powerful cleanings through the new head if it doesn't need it

You can't always see cable damage from the outside as they tend to break internally. You can try carefully removing the cables to the head, checking for any damaged pins, and reseating them. Sometimes this is enough to clear errors. If not I would start with replacing the head cables and see if...

Just create a new folder like in this video. It doesn't matter where it is, you just need somewhere to extract the files from the ISO to. Once they are extracted to that folder, you then run the SETUP.EXE from within that folder

He shouldnt need to. The ISO file is just a compressed version of the standard installation disk ready to burn. When extracted it is exactly the same as the normal installation disk and will run from the setup file.

Use an extractor program like winzip to unpack the iso file onto your computer, then just run the setup from there. An ISO file is a disk image, but you don't need to actually burn a DVD for it

Ultrasonic cleaning will destroy the heads, so dont do it. To be honest I dont think you are ever going to get it running well enough to produce decent print unless you change the heads
