  1. Webbing Laminator....What's your method?

Are you talking about the roller up/down knobs or the lam supply roll/take up reel clutch tension knobs? On the first, the up/down knobs should go slack allowing for the full weight of the top roller to rest on the bottom. On ours the lam supply/take up reel clutches are adjusted so the...
  2. Webbing Laminator....What's your method?

Web our USTECH 65" using Scott's method on the video above. Works perfect. Interestingly, a small Phillips screwdriver is what we use to slit the paper backing on the 3M 8508 laminate we use without cutting through. Once webbed and used we tape down the back edge of the laminate and raise...
  3. Link to Mutoh 1304 Service Manual

Found while searching for something else. I know we are always looking for service manuals for our equipment so... Seems to be the real deal though. 34Mb PDF http://www.costarelli.it/supporto/manuali/Mutoh%20ValueJet%201304/MM_ValueJet%201304_Rev1.1.pdf
  4. Changing default styles in Flexi

Worked like a champ, setting before using tool.
  5. Changing default styles in Flexi

Thanks a ton. I'll give it a go tomorrow. Knew there was a way to do it cause I've done it by accident several times. :-)
  6. Changing default styles in Flexi

Create rectangle. Is always red with black outline and have to change every time. Any ideas on how to change that defaults? Text tool always starts as red with weird font. Any ideas there as well?
  7. Uses for banner tubing

We use Zeelon banner material and it comes in some kick-*** heavy duty tubes. Seems a shame to throw them away. Anyone come up with cool uses for them around the shop?
  8. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

Just a quick update on our USTECH laminator after using it for a month and a half on numerous jobs. Had Grimco cut me down a 54” roll of 8508 lam to 52” so alignment is no problem and no need for craft paper, etc. Used Scott at Feller’s method to thread the machine with ease. Right now have...
  9. Mutoh 1304 supply reel hub

I replaced mine for "free". If you have a takeup reel you can too, just use the one on it. I never use the takeup anyway.
  10. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

Well a month later and all is well. Laminator is doing a good job, glad we bought it. Fasinating to me how people are fascinated by it.
  11. Enduralam 54" Cold Laminator, like new, whats it worth?

Love it. First laminator tho, upgraded from 56" Big Squeege. :-)
  12. Enduralam 54" Cold Laminator, like new, whats it worth?

We just bought a brand new 65" electric lift laminator from USTECH. Is yours electric lift? If so, based on what we paid for a NEW larger laminator with a 5 year warranty I estimate yours will probably bring in the $1500-$1700 range If crank up/down, deduct $500 from that estimate, so...
  13. Banner grommeters- Hiker vs. Fasnap

    Hiker here. No issues.
  14. Dear PEPSI...I hate you!

Oh my, *very* hot button for me. Having such a small market is bad enough, now virtually every banner and a LOT of perf is going up locally courtesy of Pepsi and the beer companies. In fact, before we purchased our printer we asked our salesman if there was one locally we could check out. He...
  15. If You Could Have Only 1 Of These 2: Power Roller Up Down or Power Take Up?

There is no adjustment on the USTECH. You lower it all the way.
  16. If You Could Have Only 1 Of These 2: Power Roller Up Down or Power Take Up?

  17. If You Could Have Only 1 Of These 2: Power Roller Up Down or Power Take Up?

Yeah you don't wanna lift it, at least not the USTECH one I have anyway. It doesn't look like it, bit it is HEAVY. The power roller up/down is awesome. It's a ripoff for the extra cost for what's in there, but no worse than say power windows. That said I can't even imagine if I had gotten the...
  18. Result of leaving top roller down by mistake

I was going to ask about my laminator’s silicone rollers. Would they flat spot if left together. That question was answered this morning. I left the top roller down by mistake last night. I almost went back to the shop to raise them, but didn’t want to drive the 40 miles. This morning no flat...
  19. Sources for isopropryl alcohol

+1 for Walmart we use about a bottle a month. 91% with fliptop. I think its like a couple bucks.
