  2. Mutoh 1304 supply reel hub

Anyone know a place I can get the righthand (from the rear) supply reel hub (the one that comes off) for a Mutoh 1304. They are only like $17, but I don’t want to pay $20 for shipping.

  6. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

On oily rollers, used liberal 50% water / 50% 91% Iso. Hit both rollers several times. Seems to have gotten rid of the residue. Also, laminated my first piece this evening. Treading was a bit tricky, tried the USTECH method, issue was MASSIVE static that kept sucking the loose end up to the...
  7. USTECH MVT-600 "missing bar" question

All the videos and even the latest pics on the USTECH website show our laminator having (2) chrome bars in the middle of the laminator. Ours has one and plugs where the top bar would be. Anyone have 2 bars and if so, what is the function of that top bar on your machine? No big deal, just...
  8. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

So I take it this is not a one time, something applied at factory to protect the roller thing, but rather an ongoing sweating/weeping type phenomena common to all silicone roller laminators? Anyone know what/how the major manufacturers recommend to clean their rollers? And yes, I could see...
  9. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

OK here’s my final verdict on the MVT-600 65” laminator and USTECH as a company. After working out a couple minor issues our new laminator is purring along. Have done a 10 foot run and several “by hand” laminations with excellent results. Tracking on the long piece was dead on. In my opinion...
  10. Greasy residue on lamination rollers

New laminator has a greasy residue on the rollers, I assume is silicone? Any tips to get rid of it without damaging the rollers? Have tried a damn cloth. Seems I may need something a bit stronger.
  11. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

Quick update on our MVT-600 Tracking info was sent via Email Monday and was accurate with yesterdays Thursday delivery. Huge crate weighing in at 695# Unit was well packed, no damage. Took about an hour to assemble stand and secure laminator to stand using forklift. Stand is very heavy and...
  12. cutting coroplast

Grimco charges per cut but we had a piece of PVC cut into small pieces for *way* cheaper than we could have done it ourselves. Give them a call.

  16. Ultra cheap source for laminate?

Worked out great. Feller's actually gave us a 54x150 roll of Lamex when we bought our printer. That will work nicely. I had forgotten all about it.
  17. USTECH 65" MVT-600 cold laminator purchase from Dave at bestdgi.com

A quick update. Dave E-mailed me today with tracking info. So far they have performed as promised. It has been a pleasure doing business with them and I don't expect that to change. On the other hand, all my "friends" seem to be busy the day the 700lb crate arrives and needs toted inside. One...
  18. Ultra cheap source for laminate?

Thanks everybody. We decided to just use our regular lam and I remembered we have a couple short rolls we can use from when we bought the printer. TDFcustomSL, yes he would have but we chose a price discount instead. I'm sure his lam is fine, but we are pretty picky about what we use day to day.
  19. Windows 7 upgrade question for dummy's

Two primary things to consider so you don't get bitten. Be sure your motherboard has Win 7 drivers available. Otherwise MB based hardware like sound may not function. Be especially cognizant of your existing software's compatibility with Win 7. Two primary reasons we have not upgraded. First...
  20. Ultra cheap source for laminate?

Any hints on cheap source for a roll of laminate to use to learn to operate our new laminator? Brand / quality is of no concern for our needs. Just hate to use our cast material for these tests.
