The issue with laminating UV inks is the fact that the inks are slightly raised. This is why cast works better than calendared. The higher the ink coverage the higher the chance of silvering. I'd skip laminating. it is one more potential point of failure.

We ran into the same issues. For peel and stick our go to is Avery 2611. It is a real solid product and 6 mil so it is easy to put down.

Definitely a scam. Get the CC, but don't even attempt to run it. Tell him it was declined and ask for another one. Do this is many times as he bites just to lead him on :-) On 1 occasion of this I actually tracked down the card owner and let them know.

My advice.....by local and support family owned businesses. They are more responsive and tend to care more about their customers. Had that happened at our facility we would have brought people in on the holiday to fix the issues. If someone is local, with the right company, you can get issues...
