  1. Multi ladders

I too have the Little Giants.... bought my first one about 12 years ago or so. Great ladders and very useful. A little heavy, but worth it for the flexibility.
  2. Banner Dolly

hrmm.... wonder if this would work? :) http://www.harborfreight.com/high-position-motorcycle-lift-99887.html

  4. Build your own arcade system

I built one of these back in 2003.... A few images below. A used leaf switches to get the authentic feel too
  5. Photo Poster Paper?

I'm interested in that as well BigfishDM
  6. Mutoh printing black drops and dark lines

Just started happening today.... I've cleaned around the maintenance station, the wiper and the ramps next to the print head. It's improved, but once I start printing, after 5-12" I start getting black droplets on the print, or some darker lines in the print. Picture is below with 2 drops...
  7. Our case study at Oracal

Nice little write-up on a project we did earlier this year... http://www.oracal.com/products/case-studies-selected.asp?csID=53
  8. backdrop banners?

We do these.... Heck, I'd say most of the time we do them in-house on 54" banner scrim and seam them together to make either 8' or 9' tall (typically 8-10' wide). Never had a complaint on them either. We did 2 of them week before last for a formal event last Saturday evening...
  9. Exterior Routered Letter install

We just did this for a client (replacing 2 of his broken 30" letters) and did pad mounting with 3" round pads and some 1.5" stainless steel all-thread on corrugated metal. As Moze suggested, used 100% clear silicone and it worked great.
  10. Shop organization examples

I know this comes up frequently enough... and this article just got posted and figured it would be good for some of us: http://www.signcraft.com/community/blogs/20121120/Organize-your-materials.aspx
  11. Need to outgas?????

On wraps, we typically do wait 24 hours before laminating. I've seen enough examples of jobs where they were laminated too soon after printing... remove the wrap from the vehicle, and there is the print in the clear coat of the paint. It will outgas one way or another. Heck, even laminating...
  12. Non-Commercial Wraps

Yea... we do a few matte, carbon, etc wraps a month. Spring time seems to bring in more then other times. Typically is a roof, or a hood, or sometimes roof/hood/decklid. We also do a fair number of interior wraps, typically with Dinoc. We just price them according to the materials used plus...
  13. Photoshop action for creating step and repeat banners

Good deal..... However, most of the S&R's we do are more custom and have more logo's.... just finished one yesterday and there was no way we could do an action for it.
  14. IP Phones & IP Cameras - Suggestions/Reviews

+1 on FreePBX or Asterisk. We've been using this for many years. 2 phone numbers, 10 usable lines (more limited by our bandwidth then anything), and our average monthly bill is $15  I just used an old HP rackmount server (overkill really) and a wholesale SIP provider. We are using...
  15. Claybar before install??

    +1
  16. Claybar before install??

We only clay bar when necessary, and typically charge for the extra time and process. The last van that was brought in to us we had to clay prior to installation.
  17. Valuejet 1304 CYAN misfiring

Well, I'll also tell you that no vinyl companies (in the US anyhow) will warrant their materials on failure with aftermarket inks as well. If you are happy, that's all that matters :)
  18. Valuejet 1304 CYAN misfiring

Your problem may have to do with your bulk ink system or the ink you are using. IMO, it's not worth the issues with aftermarket inks....
  19. Valuejet 1304 CYAN misfiring

I will make one comment on the nozzle check.... we have had some issues with bad nozzle checks, and even a single color being almost black. This was typically due to running low on that ink color and having the line/heads get a bit dry. The pump would then pull the "dirty ink" from the...
  20. Valuejet 1304 CYAN misfiring

Uh... wow. I have a 1304 that is over 4 years old and haven't had to replace the print head. I would get a hold of whoever serviced the printer and get them to fix these issues as part of the previous service. Especially if all this happened after they came out.
