yeah, milk may be a slight exaggeration, but its still old ink, and to think that you suggest sticking that out of date ink out of sight when the tech comes makes me wonder.. sure they can replace parts, like batteries.. also dampers, when all the crap from the out of date ink clogs them over...

why would you want to put expired ink through your printer?, like drinking lumpy milk , mmm yummy.. if you get it from your supplier out of date then send it back.. if its on your shelf too long, well just don't order it so soon.. your jv33 has a UISS.. so run with 2 cars per color then when one...

as stated make sure the blade is out only a tiny bit, play with this setting in Omega (see image), it will alter your blade offset.. also check the tip of your blade has not been snapped off?..

if looking for a service manual, also look out for a Mutoh SC650 one, they are the same as i understand it, except for a couple of rom chips..

is your nozzle check green where is should be yellow?. if not then its something the RIP is doing.. like above make sure you are in CMYK, and if your RIP allows, use the colour replace option to select the background and change it to 100% yella..

ncu just tells you how many nozzles are out, thats it really, the wave in the media may be a heat issue.. what inks re you running ES3, HS, SS21?.. sounds like the heat may be too high..

go in to the menu and turn off the NCU, and it will stop beeping at you.. then get a tec out to fix it at a later date.. why the colour shifting?. is that because the jv5 is stopping and causing illregular (SP?) drying?.. or have you many nozzles out?.
