See I'm the designer where I am and production. I'm constantly up and down, plus if the phone rings when the boss is out I need to be able to hear the phone. Headphones are just not an option for me. I do have a mini speaker I bring in when I have lots of production and barely any design, I can...
Yes, a million times. I can barely hear anything when I have the printer going, the plotter running and the central air blowing. It gets loud in here, let alone wearing headphones.
I think anyone would say their family is more important, their child or spouse is more important. So best not to speak for "anyone else" in this case. I'm sorry that you don't find the importance of loved ones a priority.
So let me ask. If your cell phone rang right now from an official saying your wife/child was in the hospital after being in a car wreck, you would choose to stay at work rather than rush to be by their side? I'm sorry but I know a job is important, but my family is more important. I wouldn't...
This. I've had to spend time cleaning up customer artwork because of this and then ending up telling sales to charge for design time because it took time to make their file useable for print. The other thing that annoys me is clipping masks galore! I don't know why people use so many of them.
Well laugh to yourself. No need to mock others.
I feel bad for you that you need to put others down and try to intimidate others to make you feel good about yourself.
I'm done responding on this. Keep your low comments of me to yourself, thank you.
I did watch that video. The blade was out a little too far cause I forgot to adjust that, once I did that it was a lot better. Got the job finished for the exception of the last couple ones that almost didn't make it cause the rollers skewed. I caught it just in time and salvaged the remaining...
Oh yeah, take the bad with the good and don't let it bother you. I had to learn that early and then I became one of my restaurants strongest and most reliable servers. It just raised my blood pressure too much, and honestly this job is like a breath of fresh air. Haha
I'm sorry....is that supposed to be sarcasm??? I'm not saying the customer is right, but I'm just saying that how certain things are verbalized can be taken different ways. That maybe could have been the misunderstanding. I'm just stating an observation in verbal wording and where the confusion...
Could you have instead said "Three thousand two hundred fifty, before tax," versus "thirty two fifty" - that could have been the misunderstanding when he thought it was $32.50 rather than $3,250 plus tax.
Yes we get those people all the time too. Or say it's an emergency, and then take forever to approve the proof.
I've been in and out of the industry, spent more time as a server--now THAT is a spike to the blood pressure, at least for me. :D
Thanks so much, I appreciate it! I definitely enjoy this industry a lot more than working in a restaurant. I feel like people are even more PITA and dumb when they're hungry. Haha. Definitely not good for my blood pressure.
ams - I definitely understand that and appreciate all the input. I don't have a lot of experience in these kind of letters, but I at least thought they were being mounted with better hardware. I don't have decades of experience in the industry like most of you folks do, but I do have more...
