I did a head soak on my Roland and seem to remember that the first few tries of test printing were very faded.
I printed some squares with just the CMYK colors. I believe that they were something like 1" x 5" of just pure CMYK and it took a while but the colors did finally come back to normal.
OK, after cleaning the encoder strip 3 times it's back to normal.
I finally wiped down with alcohol eyeglass pads several times. It must have had something stuck on it that finally came off.
The second time I cleaned it it was printing horrible, totally unusable. So I knew that I was...
Encoder may be a possibility. Mine is a piece of clear plastic with tiny lines on it, I've tried cleaning it but it didn't change anything. Also the plot cutting is working OK and I believe that the plot cutting uses the encoder strip.
Need help. Hours away from tech service.
My Roland SP300 is printing crooked. When it is done printing, the contour cut is where it's supposed to be and misses the print by inches.
I have actually had the print go completely off the vinyl and on to the printer.
I tried adjusting the optical...
Don't forget about the "Bo0nus Points"! and pointy thignies....Wiat, what?
Sorry can't answer now, I have to look through billions and billions and millions of fonts.
Looking for a font that the WMCA uses called CACHET. Anyone know where I could download / purchase?
I did find it as a free download but the company said that I would have to use their site as a homepage, Not doin that!
I had the same problem with stainless steel drinking cups. I found that regular stainless steel polish took the ghosting away
Same thing used for stainless appliances. One note if you get the spray. Let it dry before removing, like waxing a car.
Its cheap, worth a try.
I am running the Roland SP300 at my home. I really haven't had any issues with fumes. I can smell the ink on very large prints like wraps or banners but with the ceiling fan on its not bad and doesn't last long. Its actually a personal preference, I would say to try it for a while and see what...
ya, the fuse was a suprise, I actually soldered the new one on to the old one!
havn't had to change a head yet but I'm sure that I could with the help of the 101 family.
Well You guys probably just saved me thousands of $$$. I was ready to get the tech up here for a head replacement after losing my black (printing only Cyan in place of black) and then losing both colors altogether. you guys steered me in the right direction.:notworthy: So I ordered the fuse for...
The temp too low is referring to the air temp. Oddly enough I had the same message last week when I unplugged the ribbon cable from my head and turned the power back on. May be a sensor going bad?
I am going through the exactly the same thing. I found my fuse was blown for the black/cyan. They are on the back circuit board on my SP300. ALSO they don't look like fuses. They are small and rectangular 1.6A. If u can find them check them with an ohm meter.
Also they are soldered on to the...
This machine is over 10 years old and the only major thing I've done is one head replacement. Everything that has gone wrong this time has been MY OWN fault. I think that I may have used the wrong solvent to soak the heads and damaged the captops wich caused the head to dry out. Then by messing...
OK, thanks Guys. After a lot of searching I found the fuse. ( they don't look like any fuse I've ever seen) yes it was blown. ordered 4 new ones with some other misc parts. I will change it as soon as i get them. Then I'll be back to whare I started....only about 10% of my black nozzels firing...
This went nowhere but down. Started out when I noticed the colors starting to mix on a test print. (should have ignored it) So I did a cleaning with minor improvement but the black and cyan were still mixing. On to a head soak and then disaster. Black was printing less, cyan comming out of both...
Now I've really done it. Tried swapping cables. Turned off main power but didn't pull plug. swapping cables didn't work. temp too low message came up and couldn't do anything.Swapped the cables back and NOW I have nothing printing from the K/C head at all. This is just going down hill fast.
