I run tons and tons of paper based stuff on our Axyz Infinite with vision, big HSD spindle/tool changer and the tangential knife. The Trident will cut everything - I'd call it a swiss army knife, but I know from running the infinite and the knife setup, reading the dots is slow and there's no...
I think it's fairly cheap investment that could greatly increase your hold down capacity. We run an AXYZ now and their vac setup is similar to gerbers using vacuum plenums. We have had amazing success covering our spoilboard with the tile gasket for smaller part hold down. We ran 515 credit...
When you say you sealed the bottom of the MDF I'm hoping you didn't seal the whole back of the sheet and install down on the bed? Guessing someone went under the machine and sprayed between vac plenums?
This was our last hole drill orientation. The purple plenum locations maybe off, but this...
What's the temperature in your shop and/or of the media? Only time I've had issues like this is throwing on material right after it was delivered and cold into the machine.
It honestly looks laser cut but the stepped cut is something I've never seen off a laser. The raised lip is pretty normal with laser cutting though. Guessing that was just flame polished and CNC cut.
It honestly looks smaller on the height dimension. I see the bump/chair rail there which makes me think it's probably closer to 4ft high. Guessing that's why it's not paneled.
Yeap, that's pretty typical, but I would still complain like crazy. Two weeks down for an easy fix is above and beyond what I'd think is a reasonable time frame. The fact that you bought an additional printer to compensate is understandable, but wild as well. The squeaky wheel gets the grease...
What glue is being used? Have you tested adhesion to your artwork with hot glue? I feel pretty confident hot glue would work on the wood frame, just not sure if it'll stay on the artwork.
Wow, you had to buy another machine! Does Canon know you bought the Epson? Sounds to me like you deserve a pretty big concession from them for two weeks of down time. We've got a 5 month old HP R2000 and it's been down 5 times since it was installed. I don't know how many support tickets...
There is tooling for doing a finish pass that's supposed to be a like a diamond edge polished edge. I thought it was PCD tooling, but that seems to be for composites and not acrylic.
I just went through this on a new R2000+ and a Summa S one plotter. I can screenshot my settings if it's helpful or you run into issues, just send me a message.
PETG's clear, but the other posts on rigid vinyl is accurate. Only funky thing with vinyl based stuff is the smaller sheet sizes. Rigid vinyl should also come in a matte/satin finish as well and it shouldn't yellow like HIPS will.
Can't you cheat with some VHB/double sided tape + the liquid adhesive? Always seems to work for us - meaning the tape will hold the part in place while the primary adhesive cures.
Mineral spirits to soften the adhesive. Plastic single edge razor in a good holder to scrape. Denatured alcohol to remove any lingering mineral spirits.
3ft of water flooded the machine. Other wise, it was a good printer. We had issues with white ink dropout, but overall it was a good machine given the price point. We moved on to an HP R2000 recently.
