  1. Construction site sign

Can't see it for the grass but I have built a few. I gave them steel stakes that would hold it down but they used the blocks.
  2. Which way is up?

On single sided signs I always run the lamps horizontal to avoid the sockets being in the "puddle". Also if there is a box on it I always but the box on the side to minimize water entry. So I would say the cabinet is upside down in your photo. There also should be some bolts in the top for...

I have been getting bigger jobs as well. I am a one man shop that just had to hire a part timer. The big stuff is to heavy for me. LOL.

  5. best way to cut pvc

Warm it up a little and the shear will not crack the edges. Just a real quick pass with a heat gun. It takes very little heat. If it is hot in the shop it will cut without the heat.

  8. Lighted sign project

The staple in deal is the quickest way to do it. It does help to have plenty of those clamps though. I bought a Milliken kit and it is super easy and fast.
  9. Times are tough, or are they?

I started and ran another shop for ten years from 2 to 6 employees, bigger shop, etc. I sold it and quit for a few years. No I opened back up in my house. I really like it. Especially the overhead. I already had contacts so I have stayed pretty busy and making almost as much money(take...
  10. can a landlord make you use their sign company even if you do signs?

My dad owns a strip center. We do this. I do the signs. It is in the lease. I do them really cheap so they don't complain but I don't want someone else working on my Dad's building. It would look bad to my customers. On a side note he would not rent to another sign company so that makes...
  11. Apple cider vinegar with mother

I was going to start it because I heard it was good for asthma. I couldn't take it. That stuff is nasty. If you think it will eat your tooth enamel what about you throat and stomach?
  12. Wood sign

I have painted a color close to the color of the wood first(after masking). When it bleeds you can't see it much. Then put the letter color on.
  13. Mimaki JV3 54" Good? Bad?

Hey Insignia. Just for comparison what is the ink cost on your new Epson or don't you have a JV33?

  18. Recommendations on a pen tablet

I got mine today. Messed with it a little. Seems to work fine. Pressure works. I have never used one and I will need some time to get used to it. It is a long way across the screen. I hadn't noticed the flick yet. That will help.
  19. Flexi 8.1 cannot find hardware key

I just put 8.1v1 on a Windows 7 machine. It seems to work fine but production manager is not seeing the available ports. I am just hooking up a plotter. It was on a lpt1 on my xp machine. I have an available serial but Flexi does not see it. Device manager sees and says is working. Any ideas?
