I haven't noticed it crashing more than normal. To be honest, I have gotten in such a habit of restarting it so much so it doesn't crash that I can't remember the last time it caught me by surprise. I'm running Windows 10 with that exact same Flexi build.
This is really odd you can't just use the cut/plot button because it is grayed out. It would be the icon between the printer and the RIP/Cut icon. Just making sure you aren't looking at the "cut contour" to the right of the RIP icon. But see if this will work if so:
Draw the letters as...
Okay so I have started seeing numerous errors (see title) when starting the machine the last few days. Normally a few lifts off the lever to reset will get things going. Though sometimes it takes 10+ times for it to read the sheet size. Seems to be getting worse. What I have noticed is that...
I started using the LXI software back in the day because it came with my first machine. Since it was just a house brand of Flexi it was easy to make the switch when I started doing digital prints years later. I would compare all the options each has and figure out what your "must haves" are...
I use the R-Tape as well. But I've printed on other chrome stuff that isn't rated for printing (Eco-solvent) with okay results. What I've learned is you need to laminate so the ink doesn't scratch off. I also try to leave about 1/8" chrome edge (or more) as the ink can sometimes cause the...
Off subject, but I wish all laminate was about 1/4 to 1/2 inch narrower so we could avoid the trimming or using backer paper. Does ANYONE really need to laminate to the edge? I mean we can't print all the way to the edge so it sure would be convenient if laminate was just a little narrower...
On my SP-300V there is an adjustment in the service menu that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor (if the cleaning doesn't work). I've had to do this before when my machine wasn't reading the crop marks.
I personally just print out a giant color chart which I leave hanging on my wall (squares are about 1 inch). When I am color matching I just hold up what I am trying to match to that chart and use the color number for my file which most closely matches it. Different profiles will yield...
Yeah, I used Trademarkia. Wasn't that big of a deal and it was cheap enough that I didn't worry too much about it. Did take a while to get the approval. And I still get spam from companies wanting me to spend lot of money on "nothing" that has to do with the TM.
Yeah, proper profile will fix that. You'd think printing a grayscale image would be easy since it used just black ink but that is not the case. All 4 colors in CMYK are used for printing gray colors so there can always be a hue of some color in there. Once you get the proper profile this...
That's the closest one I found but is slightly different. Would have to remove the tail on the T and it looks like the d has a slightly different shape but it's pretty close. Gave the customer that and some other options.
The problem is I have about 10,000 files using this red as it is the standard red in Flexi so not really an option for me. Luckily it's been rare enough not to be of too much concern but sometimes it comes up so often I have to reprint something 3 times (as was the case yesterday when I posted...
The first picture shows the issue. But in picture 2 you can see that even where the red and black meet up it only seems to happen on the red part. It's like if the black ink hits that contominated area (if that is the problem) it has no issue covering it up. FYI. This is Orajet 3164 but I...
So I notice every so often that for some reason I get a white fish eye when printing red. Doesn't seem to happen on others colors. Or at least not enough that it is a concern. But happens enough when printing red that it does concern me since reprints are often required. It would seem the...
I've had similar problems in which I thought it was a Flexisign issue but still not sure what caused it. I'll explain my situation. I was repeat printing files for customers over the years and always printed fine. Then one day when I went to print the exact same file color was off. It seemed...
Never thought about using the transparency to try and make it work....I may try that myself. But I use Alien Skin Eye Candy if looking for an alternative.
One more odd thing I noticed that is (kinda) related. Before when I said clicking on the softproof button did nothing this was true. But I noticed if I go into my color settings and even if I don't change anything (just click ok), then the softproof appears correctly as it will print when I...
