  1. Hello Everyone!

Welcome from The Land of Oz (Kansas, although, really, Oz is Oz, not Kansas. Oz is nowhere near Kansas if I remember correctly).
  2. What's going on? Mutoh or Flexi?

I had this happen a few times when we got Flexi 8.6 and our VJ1614. I hadn't run the update and wasn't using the latest build. I'm using it on Windows 7 so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. Mine weren't running the entire length of the print, but they were similar to what...
  3. Print to Mutoh from Illustrator...

I've found plenty of posts about printing straight from Illustrator, Corel, etc. What gives? Are these people not actually doing that?
  4. Print to Mutoh from Illustrator...

So I've got it to where I can select the ValueJet 1614 from the printer list in Illustrator. How do I access the media profiles? Can't seem to find them. Do I have to set the defaults in Production Manager (Flexi) so that when I finally hit print, it prints with the right media profile...
  5. More stands needed...

Custom costs money... Thanks for the input guys...any more is appreciated, but I'm wondering if I'm heading down the custom shop road, and we all know where that road ends up...
  6. More stands needed...

They are a bit pricey. They sell the 22x28 (60" tall) black stand for over $100.00. I can get these for a little less than 80 at San Diego Sign Supply and even less at Allen Display. I can't seem to find a vendor who has consistent prices. I guess that's part of the game, though. Stands...
  7. More stands needed...

I just posted about a stand I needed for a client, and I've got another one I need to find. There are those 22x28 and 14x22 poster board (gatorfoam, foamcore, etc.) stands that are pretty stand-ard (I couldn't help the pun, it's been a slow day). I'm looking for something a little narrower...
  8. Banner stand for pickup truck bed...

He will most likely be an authorized vendor of his product at most of his events. I like the "box" idea.
  9. Banner stand for pickup truck bed...

Just when he's parked....Park the truck, set it up for the event, stay for the event, tear it down, drive away.
  10. Banner stand for pickup truck bed...

Howdy from the Kansas Plains! I've got a client that wants to have a banner stand in his pickup truck bed when it is parked at events. It's an F-150 and he doesn't want to wrap it, but he wants to be able to advertise with a banner in the bed of the truck and I'm not sure what might work for...
  11. Custom cut aluminum plates...

Got a request from a fencing company (not the sport, but fences) to make make aluminum plates with their logo to hang on fences after a job. Small logo that has a simple contour cut around it that they want to have done to this aluminum. Suggestions? I don't know anything about cutting...
  12. Another font id...

Oh, I meant the number on either of those two you recommended, Gino, don't match up to what is in the picture. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  13. Another font id...

Thorowgood is spot on. I'm not an FX expert, but how did they give it that faded look in the image I attached?
  14. Another font id...

The numbers are definitely a different family from the text. The Nashville font doesn't even have all the numbers...1, 3, 4, 5, 6 ,7 and 8 are all symbols....
  15. Another font id...

The numbers don't really match up on those two. It's the numbers that I just can't seem to nail down...
  16. Another font id...

    Anyone... Bueller... Bueller...
  17. Another font id...

I have the text pretty much nailed down as one I found for free called Nashville. The only numbers Nashville uses are 2 and 9 or something like that...any ideas on the numbers? Thanks a ton, Ben
  18. White or Clear Acrylic backlit sign...

It's a darker print (I hate it but I can't convince the customer otherwise). Just FYI as I'm sure it would make a difference if the colors are darker (dark blue and green) as opposed to a bright orange or yellow.
  19. White or Clear Acrylic backlit sign...

Okay, so here's the deal...I want to make sure I have all my options laid out before I dive into my first backlit sign. It's all about materials. I'm printing full color on a Mutoh 1614, laminating, and applying to acrylic and installing the final sheet with printed vinyl and lam into existing...
  20. Foamcore vs Gatorfoam...

I don't want to die! I'll be sure to take that into consideration. I already used it, but I was fortunate enough not to have a run in with the edge.
