I'm about to print a run on a material called DisplayBack 12 mil with Sunrise Reli-A-Lam 4.5 mil DisplayTexx. Bought it here in Canada from IMAC Imaging Alignment Corp. Hope I don't have trouble. I'm kinda procrastinating because I'm sorta nervous to give this new material a try. Did you wait...
lol...no worries here. Thanks for the tips! I appreciate it! I'm a little new at this forum stuff so I tend to not quite get the rules and cliques! lol
thanks ! Yeah...I kinda noticed that. Isn't this supposed to be a forum to be helpful to people in your industry? :) anyhow...I appreciate your answer. We have a JV33 and we've been running it for 2 years like I said...but we've always had trouble with a few nozzles staying clogged. I've been...
Heya!! It's been a while since I've posted...been busy! Right now..what I'm curious about is consumable parts needed for my JV33. I received minimal training on maintenance from the place I bought the printer from and I'm wondering if there are parts that I should be changing on a regular basis...
don't you LOVE when the material shows up 24" when it's supposed to be 48"...and it's late...and it's the wrong colour. Happened to me last week! argh!
this is a good laugh!!! Wish I had more time to post my own examples..I'll have to come back when I have a chance...something tells me this could save me some $$$$ on my therapy bills!! :)
all really great advice...thanks so much. And yes...every time we switch material a new comp is done as well as other calibrations. :o) I hope it works...I haven't had a chance to get back to my printer room yet...I'm working on paperwork and quotes! ( oh and signs 101 threads! lol)
Cheers...
I saw a rear window decal on a customers vehicle actually split or crack where every heat element was. This decal was done at another shop, and had been on for a year or so. When we did the new decal, we used a premium vinyl and it didn't seem to do the same thing. In fact, it was on the car for...
Well...thanks a bunch...I will definately do this from now on. Thanks so much. I really never thought that the comp could still be off even after doing the comp calibration with printed test strips. Again...thanks so much.
I definately would NEVER want to send a print out looking like this...
I've never done that during a print...but I'll try it. Though...when doing the media comp during calibrations it looks good. Once thing I have been wondering in my list of calibrations, is if it's better to do the drop position correct before or after the compensation?? I was taught to do the...
I agree that CORO 4 mil would be a good option. And inexpensive. Alternatively, you could use Styrene as well. You can get it really thin or relatively thick as coroplast. Only it doesn't have those lines in it.
Hope you find something suitable!!
I beleive that the cleaning regimen I'm using is what you are describing. When we print a lot, we clean it a couple times a day. Especially if we are switching the media. I am quite anal about the caping station...but perhaps I'm not doing it correctly. I didn't receive a great deal of training...
Yup...I've done that Insignia...I have a new wiper coming in anytime today too. Unfortunately I had ordered 2 last week because I knew the time was nearing to have to change it...but they sent me the wrong ones. :o) lol...anyhow...I'll do some more cleaning & calibrations and see what happens. I...
