I believe you can replace the white and metallic with $50 cleaning cartridges without voiding warranty. If you get a metallic or white job you can always pop the originals back in. I am checking into this.
Anyone have a great way to profit from the metallic ink? Its a great feature but sure sucks that it all ends up in the waste tank. I guess offering it to customers more would help. We are in the same boat.
I signed up for Trello last night. Implemented my same system that I had with folders. My coworkers are on it as well. I actually like many aspects of it better than when I used high priced cloud-based apps, for organizing jobs that is. Its free too. Just perfect. Much appreciation for the...
Somehow the inkhead is in that small brush and as they move their arms it just goes directly to the substrate. I am assuming the files are loaded into the brush as an .eps or .pdf. They must have the ink cartridges in a backpack or something. This new technology will bring on a printing...
Physically, my set up is like this.
4 sections for job folders...
1. Proofs
2. Waiting on approvals/ Revisions
3. Production
4. Installations
When it is proofed I send it to the second group. It sits there until I get the customers approval. Then it is placed in the production group. It either...
Why not take all the jobs and all the good employees? Competition is called competition for a reason. The two compete. I have never seen a football game where teams decide to help each other score touchdowns and then somehow come out champions in the end.
That's why I have all of you in this forum. Far enough away not to take money. Friends in the same business who won't give you a Tiny Tim Xmas. Lunch is on me guys.
My personal feeling is to just laminate it. Yes it goes down like butter without it. Yes its amazing just watching the perf go down and all of the air just pouring out of the holes. But the customer is trusting you to give them something that is quality. You told them they can see out of it...
I have always heard that it has to be laminated. It seems that Chevy would be in violation of the law for making this vehicle if we have to laminate. Lock them up and throw away the key.
As far as the size goes for sign making and window lettering, I highly recommend going above 24" as well. You will find your production times increase because you are piecing parts of signs together in ways you never thought possible. The money you spend on production and installs will far...
If you could get away with it design wise I would only go to the first ridge on each side or half wrap unless you want the challenge. Since it is your own vehicle you could take that project on if you want. Worse case, you bomb at it and start over.
I make stickers on the VersaCamm all the time. I used to have a Mimaki with misaligned heads and all the small details looked like garbage because of the inks being offset.
