  1. Do you really need a phone # on your sign?

I was just conversating about this topic the other day. Why is the phone number put on a tshirt. How many times have we actually said, hey can you turn around so I can call the number on the back of your shirt? Who are they again? I couldn't see because of the compromised letter height due to...

  3. How do I get the average Joe to understand about high quality artwork?!!!!!

No. It is easier than all of this "the customer is the enemy stuff". 1. You get the art. 2. You realize it won't work. 3. You use your design skills or your designer' design skills and you make it work. 4. Your customer smiles. 5. You get paid. A designer in a sign shop should already know that...
  4. How do I get the average Joe to understand about high quality artwork?!!!!!

I gave up and just learned to recreate it with the speed of light, or use Alien Skin Blow Up 3 plugin when I can, or if all else fails, send them a screen shot of what the pixeled artwork will look like on a banner. In most cases I just recreate it because it is easier than confusing the...
  5. Hello 3D modelers

They both do. Blender has tons of kind support from users. If you do get stuck with a file that needs to be .stl or .dxf you can always use MeshLab too. Its free and great for cleaning up and converting files. As far as being easy to use I would say that most all of the major 3d softwares are...
  6. Hello 3D modelers

Blender is much much better than it was a few years ago. I prefer 3ds Max because I learned it first, but I use both. I look forward to seeing how we will integrate 3d modeling with sign making more and more.

  20. New Logo

I like it. The buttons with cyan, magenta, and yellow are great. The hands and head could use some clean up in the lines. It has a nice friendly feel to it. The coincidence of Vista and Mista is like Mimaki and Vimaki. Maybe you didn't know but it does sound like VistaPrint. I think MistaPrint...
