Has anyone ever printed on wood with a DTG printer like a flatbed? We have a DTG M2 at the shop and I would like to place a thin ply of wood on the platens and print directly on it. How would the inks hold up on wood? I would press it just like a garment to cure the ink and then put a finish on...

In VersaWorks under the file format tab it will list all of the Roland Metallic colors in the file. Also in Corel Draw, when you have an object selected, it will tell you what color is assigned in the bottom right depending on your workspace.

An easy way to practice would be to take an .eps file or text and assign it a Roland metallic color in Corel Draw. Save selected as an .eps and queue in VersaWorks. Give it a profile that supports metallic printing. Print.

Tried printing metallics from Corel today. Success!

One thing to take into consideration is if you do get another Roland and you aren't going to use white and metallics very much, then skip that option all together. We rarely use the white and metallic on the Versa-Camm and it wastes so much ink cleaning.

Kevin, I am just kidding about the default proof. I like SignVox. I do advise the user changing it up for the customer that has several revisions or they realize that you are sending them a default message.
