We've done a couple LED conversions for medium sign cabinets using Max-Brite lattice systems mounted to dibond or alumalite with good success but I'm now being asked to quote on a much larger project and wanted to get some advice. We are being asked to quote converting a large pylon sign to LED...
We're fortunate to not have too much trouble with this but one time I came into work and found about 4 big black garbage bags of trash in my dumpster. I opened one up and found magazines addressed to the rental house across the street. I put all the bags in by truck, took them to the address and...
Thanks guys. No one inspects things like this here but I just wanted to do the right thing and not just what I could get away with. I confirmed with both my channel letter builder and a local electrician that Class 2 wiring doesn't require conduit here.
Probably a stupid questions to those who do this regularly but does the wiring from LED channel letters to the transformer(s) need to be in conduit or is it ok as since it's low voltage?
Can anyone recommend who can make ADA signs like the attached pictures? Looking for both the smaller and larger size signs. The smaller signs are roughly 8" x 8" and the larger signs are almost 18" x 24".
We have a Gerber Envision that we use for most of our cutting. It's been a great machine but we are having issues with it cutting long runs. The longer a run goes the worse it cuts. The main problem seems to be the depth of the cut. It starts not cutting deep enough on long runs making weeding...
I'm looking to recreate the attached tags for a customer who is restoring an old mini bike. Does anyone have the capabilities to do something like this or know a vendor who can do this? I have vector artwork. It needs to be made like the attached photo and then the customer will stamp the rest...
We've always had a land line for the office. I can't imagine having customers call my cell constantly. I do give my cell when necessary but avoid it if at all possible. I like to go home at the end of the day and be left alone. We use Comcast for our phone and internet and both have been trouble...
I need to stud mount a hdu sign to a block wall. The sign will be about 48" square and 1" thick. It needs to stand off the wall about 1.5". I'm planning using at least 18lb hdu but I'm still concerned about the studs ripping out of the hdu. I could put a piece of dibond on the back and I think...
I've looked through SignComp's online catalogs and can't seem to find anything that is an exact match either. They have the closet match with some of their radius extrusions so at this point I'm using that to work up an estimate for my customer.
I went and got a closer look at this sign and it is definitely custom made. I think it is something we can make without much issue....if I can find the extrusion that was used. Any suggestions on where that might come from. I've been googling aluminum sign extrusions for over an hour and cant...
Yes, the whole thing is curved. Reminds me of something from Vista Sign Systems but I don't see anything that is an exact match. Vista also doesn't offer anything with lighting. You have to add the lighting yourself which I would prefer to avoid.
