Also I've never seen a printer that cleans itself as much as these FB5/700s do. It's good they clean themselves but man it's everytime you go to touch a button it jumps into cleaning mode. And it doesn't matter how much you print either I don't care what the salesman or installer says. They're...

  10. Printing reds on HP FB500

You won't get a rich red on that machine period. We use caldera rip and get the same dull red results. Our profiles are perfect and we get rich reds on other machines except that one. The problem is on the HP side somewhere.
  11. FB500/700 users...Need help

Make sure there is no ink clogging up the perforations on the belt. Adjust the head height up .125 is max. Other than that There is not much you can do unless you use that warped media mode which will burn the first 12" of material. If you can allow for that it works. But this printer just...
  12. Gandi 3150x2

sorry it took so long. The NMP chemical did nothing for the Spectra heads. The amount of time it took for the process didn't help either we got busy printing on the HP. We're sitting with 24 bad heads. It was worth a shot anyway. @eforer Can you tell me how to flash the firmware? Thanks.
  13. need some answers please on hp scitex

We have the HP FB700 as well. We have not used the white yet as well. We decided that the white needs to be profiled like the rest of the print modes. But we won't do this till a big job comes up for white. Because of the ink waste involved in the switch out. You have to decide what your minimum...
  14. Printing on Styrene

I print tons of styrene on the Gandi 3150x2 and the HP FB700. On the Gandi we use Sericol/Fujifilm Ink. And the Hp whatever their standard OEM ink is. No problems at all for 2 years. If you have ink problems try the Uvjet adhesion master but its a pain to have to wipe every sheet. But all...

  20. Gandi 3150x2

We injected NMP today with a syringe into 24 heads. Each head twice. Then we came back to the first head we did and tried it again. We didn't notice anything special so we decided to let them sit till tomorrow and try again. Keep in mind these are SE 128 spectra heads. They have nano size jets...
