  1. Flexi Color Help...

Thanks Pro... I looked and it turns out that soft proof was not checked, so I checked it, now the colors are much closer. BTW, my new setup is exactly the same as you have, except for the laminator. I'll be paying attention when you post. Thanks for the help.

  3. Flexi Color Help...

I hoped to never have to ask any questions about color profiling and calibration and all that after I got my printer.... but I can't figure this one out. I have used illustrator and photoshop since 1998, and I'm pretty confident with my abilities in both programs. I slowly started to...

    Ball-Buster. That's good stuff.
  5. Monitor Question...

I too have and Inspiron 9400 with the 17" widescreen, and I personally love it. The native resolution is set so high, however, that some people can't get used to it. Having a widescreen, as John said, leaves much white space on the sides. You should look at is as the glass is half full...
  6. Profile for Paper?

I've been trying to get the diamond shield profiles off of mutoh's site also... they claim really good results with them, but they are unavailable. I googled diamond shield and found this site with all of the profiles: http://www.gmintl.com/mutohdiamondshield.html Good Luck. I just got my...

So I finally took the leap and got hooked up with a Mutoh ValueJet 1204, Graphtec FC7000-130, and a 53" Laminator... 11. Are all eps. files created equal?

It's possible the guy you bought from doesn't know the difference and the eps may have been created in Photoshop and is actually raster rather than vector.

  13. Should I change my business name?

I agree that a change is in order. I've never been a fan of acronym business names. There are so many around here it's hard to keep track of them all much less distinguish one from the next. My boss is a board member on the chamber here and at one of the recent meetings there were 22...
  14. Fat Freddie

That's so cool. We live in Gillette, WY where we have the only restaurant that's part of the Sanford's franchise that's not called Sanford's. The high school mascot here is the Camel. The camel's name is Humphrey. Therefore, instead of Sanford's, we have Humphrey's. Crazy for high school...

  17. match requested for an ugly font

I think Tiki's got it. The reason that font file appears that way is AutoCAD uses color dependant plot styles, by that I mean that a specific color is tied to a specific linewieght when you send a line plot out. That font would fill itself out based on the lineweight at which it was printed...
