  1. 1005ezRS print problem... anyone?

That appears to be a media issue versus a printer or profile-related problem.
  2. Mimaki JV-400 Latex

Mimaki began to OEM their latex printers to Ricoh in early 2014. They are now branded as Ricoh Pro L4130 and L4160. http://whattheythink.com/news/67417-ricoh-introduces-new-latex-wide-format-printers-outdoor-indoor-signage/
  3. Weird size thing happening. Help?

The EPS Margin value is added to all four sides of the image, in order to avoid clipping data (rounding errors). You don't need more than a value of .02 inch. You should be able to edit the value if you enter the dialog from the Edit Menu > Queue A/B Settings, and not from the Job Settings...
  4. Weird size thing happening. Help?

What is your EPS Margin value set to in Versaworks? VW > Edit Menu > Queue x Settings > File Format tab > EPS Margin
  5. VERSAWORKS or MACHINE ..Tec says Software Issue but I can't get through...

The proper answer is to find the place where the colors were swapped, and reverse them. More than likely, reversing the two lines/dampers on head #2, and then running a number of cleanings (or better yet, syringing from below the captop) will eventually clear out the contamination from the head.
  6. VERSAWORKS or MACHINE ..Tec says Software Issue but I can't get through...

It appears that the Yellow and Magenta inks have been reversed in head #2. On the SP machine, there are two heads, and head #1 should be firing KC and #2 MY in that order. Your #2 head is firing YM. See the attached nozzle test print (from a VP model).
  7. HP Latex 370

I spoke with HP at the recent ISA Expo and was informed that in the USA market will be no upgrade path from the Latex 360 to 370.
  8. Roland Rip on my Mac

It is interesting that there was no public mention of this from Roland at ISA Expo last week.
  9. Issues Printing wraps on High Quality Setting?

You should certainly be able to print a wrap using the High Quality (higher resolution) print mode, assuming that the media profile is well constructed and representative of your machine's current behavior set. It will likely use just a bit more ink, and certainly take longer to print, but aside...
  10. Onyx shrinking prints when sending a print/cut file

Are you cutting through ONYX Cut-Server, or from a different program?
  11. Onyx shrinking prints when sending a print/cut file

Is the scaling only occurring on print & cut jobs, or on all jobs, including print-only (no cut)?
  12. Onyx shrinking prints when sending a print/cut file

What is the printer model and media width that is being used? In the Job Editor module (Size and Rotate tab), make sure that the scale is 100% (1.0) and not something less or more.
  13. HP Latex 370

Hi Hotspur: Thank you for confirming that the upgrade is possible.
  14. HP Latex 370

You are correct. The cart that comes with the machine is not the same as for the Latex 360, and is being constantly refilled by the 3L supply. It is also my understanding that the Latex 360 will not be upgradeable to using the ink supply system found in the 370, but I do not have confirmation on...
  15. Graphtec Cut Path 'Drooping"

It is more of a Latex-centric issue. The higher temperatures needed to cure the ink can deform some medias. It is more of an issue with the more inexpensive calendared vinyls. Options include lowering the temperature, or correcting / compensating for the effect in the printer or output routine.
  16. Fixing a previously printed mesh banner

If it is solvent ink, it is likely that gasoline will take it off...
  17. Graphtec Cut Path 'Drooping"

Glad to hear that you got it isolated to print bowing originating from the printer, and not a cutter issue. That was the reason for my question earlier in this thread. There are several methods to mitigate or eliminate bowing on the HP Latex machines. Searching the archives for bowing on this...
  18. HP FB750 and FB550 - What's new?

There are a series of evolutionary advances with the new FB550 and FB750 models. There is a new rail (beam) which is much more rigid and less prone to flexing, and a new carriage which will reduce horizontal and vertical banding artifacts. There are some speed improvements, along with the other...
  19. HP Latex 370

The Latex 360 is now being positioned to those users who use less than 10 liters of ink per month, and the Latex 370 is for those using > 10 liters (rough estimate). This would equate to roughly 10,000 square feet of output per month (or ~1,000 sq meters), give or take 10 percent.
  20. Graphtec Cut Path 'Drooping"

Is this issue present on print & cut or for cut-only (no print)? If print & cut, what is the printer?
