We have both here and I personally prefer the solvent/eco solvent. The HP Latex does generate a substantial amount of heat, but is not as maintenance free as you are lead to believe. I would suggest taking some of your files and printing on the 2 or 3 printers you are leaning toward to demo...
I've been running this temperamental piece of equipment for too many years now, and it is deciding to melt vinyl decal. I am now running tests to see how low I can drop the temps and change the air flow to have a good print. I was wondering where others in this community are running their...
Just thought of one other thing. The glue on the thermistors has been known to drop down and give a false reading. It is possible that the thermistor itself needs to be cleaned of debris and/or dried ink.

Thanks for the insight. We have tried some fills only to have an unsatisfied customer. Even created some. The customer likes the depth of the printed engine turn.
Looking for a 48" x 150' roll of printable Large Engine Turn Silver. Rtape & FDC have been pushing the due date back since December.:banghead: I've been informed that Coburn has 24" not 48".
I called Marabu ClearShield. They were very helpful. They have different coatings depending on what you are printing on. I purchases some samples. I hope to try them when we slow down a little.
