We ran some tests for a similar application here and found that 3m IJ180cv3/8580 was the best combination to withstand the heat.

We have used that media here before it was ij480cv3. It has been very inconsistent, since the initial test. While it has been easier for the installation process, the print side has been very troublesome.

Looks like core impressions to me. I see it on IJ180cv3 & 8518 all the time. Contact your distributor and see if they can send a replacement.

The heads are not in need of replacement like the Latex machines are. We had 2 HP9000s and the head life on that unit was 5-6 years. I figure on this printer being the same. The SX series ink set is only about 2-3 years old and is an eco-solvent. We run an M-64 here and really like it. Yes...

We have the "Duster 2000 Fume Control" model. We were running 2 HP9000s and it helped alot. We found an alternate source to get the charcoal pellets. We were replacing them about every 6 months.

This is just a thought, would it be possible to format/blank the hdd and install the fb700 firmware?

I vote for the M-64. We've had ours for about a year and a half.

We have a m-64 that runs constant in standard, production and draft mode. We would like to have another one.

HP CQ869-67049 SPI Edge Holder serv. I ordered them from the HP Parts store.

That could be one cause. The age of the heads could also be a cause. We replace ours between 1500 and 2000 ml to keep colors close.

I would try a different media and the same profile. If it goes away, media issue.
