The pad will last you 6 months to a year, depending how much you use it. If you can't figure $30 in to your cost of goods for over a year....
You can also use strips of scrap vinyl to roll on to remove the dust, if you're just too cheap to buy the pads. We do that now and then.
Yes, just tell your RIP to add the weed border. If not that, how hard is it to just draw a box? Your sign layout should have a border around it anyway. Or maybe I'm totally missing what you are asking.

Cut your vinyl a little wider than you need for each stripe. Before applying, use knifeless tape to layout your stripes. Apply the vinyl over the tape, pull it all up and you have nice clean stripes with uniform spacing.
OK thanks....no, my SMK#3 is only at 52%. And it just popped up briefly after changing out my maintenance cartridge. I'll send another job and see if it pops up again.
Yep. I'm figuring 60 sq ft., of what looks like would be High Performance gold vinyl? I price that as $20/ft installed.....Takes time to lay that vinyl correctly and smooth. So $1200. For 10 trucks, we might drop to $1000 ea.
Just saw an error code about Line Sensor at end of life. Didn't write down the error code number. Is this something I can change out easily? I quickly Google searched but didn't see much about it.
