No, roland sold out of them years ago and don't make new ones. There are sellers advertising new boards, but all of these are chinese copies that don't have a great track record of working properly

No, they don't go into that much detail. The manual is for Roland service technicians, they would just replace the whole board as they don't replace components. Have a look on youtube for videos of how to test transistors which will explain it. Its not that complicated to do, but you MUST do it...

You can get pretty much all parts for the 300i easily enough. If you can't get them new you can get tested used parts on ebay from a few sellers, so no need to get rid of it and upgrade. Heads will be available for them for years
